MyCreditQuote.net and mycreditquote.com - scam - be cautious they are dishonest in advertising. They advertise the following statement "Get your Free FICO score in just 3 minutes. No Credit Card Required!" This is their claim. First off - there is mysteriously absolutely no contact information in their site, no webaddress, no email address, no physical address. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR FICO SCORE. They do not give you access to your credit report by any one of the three agencies, and what is given is a questionnaire - which at the last step you have to fill in an application for a home loan or car loan. They give you some range of FICO based on your answers. What a scam. AT least the other companies out there give what they promise with no alterior motive!!!! This one is a scam.

I got the Imagine Master Card from MyCreditQuote.com

AUTHOR: ILuvCraigsList - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 01, 2010

I was just doing a search to try to find mycreditquote.com website because it is the holidays and I was trying to get another credit card so I can do some holiday shopping on credit. Then I saw this scam report and I was just really taken aback by it. I used the website and got my credit score and then they showed me a credit card application that they said I would qualify for because at the beginning it asks why you want your score and you have to choose some product like home loan, credit card, auto loan, etc. I chose credit card and auto loan, so it showed me applications for the ones that I could get approved for. I did get approved for the credit card. It was called the Imagine Master Card. I also got approved for an auto loan but because my credit wasn't so good at the time, it was at a high rate and I didn't want the high payment so I didn't take that one. I never had to pay anything, they never asked for a credit card, and my score was pretty accurate and they still got me a line of credit and  loan. So, I don't know why that person is complaining but I wish I could find that website again. If anyone knows what their new web address is, can you post it on this blog? Thanks.

I used this system and got a credit card. The site plainly says that they offer a credit score estimate by asking you to answer questions about your own credit history and says that it will not put a ding on your credit file or ask for a credit card number. I don't see where this is a scam. Instead, it seems like the person, Ra from Alabama, obviously is just trying to slander them because of some other reason that only he must know.

I think it should be against the law for people to just be able to say whatever they want about companies without having any justification at all other than they just didn't like the company's approach, etc. That system WAS free, and it basically did what it said it would do, and I couldn't get a unsecured credit card anywhere except for that website, MyCreditQuote.com.

The page that I went to when I clicked on the ad had their full address, privacy policy, terms of service, disclaimers, etc., basically everything that they were supposed to have just like any other legitimate website.

I think this guy (or girl), Ra from Alabama is either a disgruntled ex-employee or just doesn't have anything else to do with his time other than try to hurt people for no legitimate apparent reason other than he just didn't like the website. When I don't like a website, I just don't use it. Nobody is twisting my arm. Oh, and my credit score estimate was about 11 points from my actual score.
