I would just like everyone to know, these con-artists are still preying on desperate job seekers. They're new office is in Scottsdale, AZ at 7678 E Greenway Road Ste 101. Every rip off report is completely true. I knew something was not right with them and their "company"! First of all, there is no website. I figured they were just beginning and had not set one up yet. However, the 2nd interview Dan Chasin mentioned he had been working there for 7 years, Dan Long 19 years, and Sara Carl 5 years. All those years of success, but not even a listing of offices on the internet...very SHADY!

I took extensive notes during the 2 hour "interview" or what I like to call "brainwashing" session. Fortunately, I was not as desperate and naive as others so here are red flags to key in:
1. Called in for interview without seeing a resume. no respectable company or profession would do this.

2. NO company website

3. 1st interview was only 3 minutes. HIring manager Sara Carl talked a big game without giving any actual info about the company. Usually when you walk out of an office confused as ever, a whole lot of BS is coming out of her mouth.

4. 2nd interview is a group interview 2 1/2 hours long! A good portion of the room looked like kids right out of high school "trying to dress professionally", overall relatively young 19-29 years. All minds still gullible to fake promises.

5. Story does not add up!!! Do the math. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS. How can you take all the "managers" on an All-Inclusive Resort vacations twice a year. From all the cities mentioned, there must be at least 80 "managers"! If your office "crew" only sells 200 bottles of perfume/wk where does the money come from??? They still need to pay personal offices space, personnels, accountants, and overhead costs. I'm not a rocket scientists, but COME ON!

Dan Chasin and Sara Carl are Master Con-Artists!!! They have no remorse for what they are doing. They have about 25 people they are training right now! Only a small fraction will wake up and smell the coffee. The ones that finally leave will only do so after wasting precious time, money, and their dignity.

grow a heart?

AUTHOR: JAK - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 17, 2011

Really?  Grow a heart?  I give people the opportunity every day to run their own business and make money.  How is that in any way purely selfish?  You see, making money to me is a by-product of helping someone else do well.  When someone I train goes out there and sells a bottle, they make money.  I make a cut off it as well, yes, but not NEARLY the same as they do.  I do believe I broke down the money in my last rebuttal so I won't do it here.

All I know is that you didn't even give it a chance.  We ask for 3 months, not 4 years like college.  Oh, btw, did you know that the owner/founder of ripoff report is wanted in 14 states for fraud, blackmail and various other felonies?  Honestly, you didn't even give the thing a chance and then you want to come online and spout your hate speak?  You know NOTHING about the company because you were never there for any significant length of time.  Don't steal away the chance to make something of one's self from another person out there just because it wasn't for you.

The Truth From the Inside

AUTHOR: JAK - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 08, 2011

Throughout this rebuttal, I will try to answer as many of the points made in the previous posts as I can.  To start, the individual branches that make up the "company" as a whole are set up through promotions made from previous offices.  For example, when you are told that you can open up your own office after navigating the program, we help you locate office space, negotiate the cost with you and then help you move into it.  When this happens, you choose your own name for the LLC that you are opening.  So when you started with that branch, it is quite possible that it had just opened.

Dan Long himself started with the industry back in Chicago with Centura and has since seperated from them and bought the rights to the perfumes/colognes and packaging and started his company.  We, as branches, make up the distribution end of said company, and are individually run and operated by the people that get promoted out of these offices.

Just so you know, we have just recently promoted out offices in Indianapolis, IN, Providence, RI, Virginia Beach, Parma Heights, OH.  And of course our training centers in Middleburg Heights, OH and Worthington, OH.  So yes, we really do help you open up your own office once you're done with the program.

Since each office is independantly owned and operated, there is no "listing...on the internet".

First interviews are supposed to be quick, btw.  They are basically there just as a first impression for the employer to judge the attitudes, professionalism etc of the people looking for work.  It doesn't take long to see if someone has a good attitude and is a people person.  If we feel they are, then we invite them back to a second interview.  Most times later on in the day when we've reviewed resumes/apps. BTW, just cause you can't see something happening doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

Now, to the second interview (which you apparently didn't take very good notes in, or you would have understood all this to begin with).  As far as the vacations offered to managers, and how it's paid for, if an office only does 200 sales a week, that adds up to $1600 going to the local office and $2200 returned to the company to cover cost of product and profit per week.  It also means that the people selling the product made about $2200 as well ($30/sale, $11 to rep, $19 to office (of which $11 sent back to company, $8 to the branch)).  This was all mentioned in the second interview, but apparently you missed that part.  BTW, that was just one week.  Most offices do well more than 200 a week - we just say 200 for easy math purposes.  The overhead (again for easy math) is covered by 100 (usually offices are set up to operate at less than that) bottles per week.  meaning $800 a week goes to the branch manager and the overhead is $800 as well.  Again, the overhead is usually lower than that, so the BM makes the difference since it's his/her business.

Now, all that information was said directly in the second interview.  I know this, because I've been through the second interview myself and apparently took better notes.  Also, because I have now been with the company myself for 6 months now and have seen people promoted out and opening locations and making money.  I myself have been brought in to help the office that promoted me here in Middleburg expand and promote more deals.  It's really too bad that you didn't give it a chance, because at this point, you'd be in your own branch and making 50k plus (although with your attitude, you probably would have filtered out anyway way before that could ever happen).

I'm sorry if I don't address the other comments posted here, as I can not see them from this page, just the original.

High School Kids BEWARE!!!

AUTHOR: respectforthelaw - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, September 11, 2010

I once worked for this company undercover because some high school kids had interest in the position but I told them otherwise.  Once I knew what the company was all about, what they did, and did not have a website, I told the kids if anybody from the company tries to contact them for any reason that they should contact the Attorney General Terry Goddard or the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Dan Chasin and crew are in Tukwila, WA now

AUTHOR: xhearts23 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 30, 2009

A little over 2 weeks ago I responded to an ad on craigslist offering entry level management jobs; what I discovered was nothing close. My first interview was on Monday the 14th of December, 2009. Jeremy Keifer was so pleased with my attitude and appearance and told me "I never do this...never, but I am just gonna go ahead and let you know right now (instead of waiting a couple days) that you are invited to the 2nd interview!" Like most of us, I am unemployed and this was GREAT news.

I arrived on Friday, 18th of December, 2009. I was seated in a room with 24 chairs, a whiteboard, a speakers booth and a group of other girls. This was the 2nd interview? As Abby Noble, a "branch manager" kept us entertained by chatting with us about life, Jeremy prepared his 2 hour "interview". Jeremy Keifer came in and started telling us about the company, who was who and what their titles were. Jeremy Keifer claims he has been working as a branch manager for over 7 years, Abby Noble has been there about a year, John Stoner has also been there about a year and then there is Dan Chasin, also 7 years.

The company is Coastline management and they claim to sell designer parfumes with out the expensive packaging. Jeremy says, "it's like going to buy a Pepsi, you can pay $1.79 for the bottle or get it from the fountain for $.79 cents. The difference in cost is the fancy packaging." Jeremy claims this company is 27 years old and worth millions.

We were asked to bring a pen and pad of paper so I can provide you with detailed notes on what else was said.

Most importantly, I can't describe in words how much Jeremy pumped us full of hope and excitement. We were told we would get keys to our own office, have a staff, secretary, profit sharing, bonuses, paid vacations and all this in 10-13 weeks of training! Unless of course we are on the "fast track", then it could be a soon as 6-8 weeks of training. Needless to say, I fell for this. Monday was my first day of training. We were told that just this ONE time we were going to be given this special offer so we could make some cash before Christmas. We were told that as part of our training we would need to sell some parfume...ok. We were told that whoever sold the most by Tuesday morning would recieve a $500.00 bonus and there was a 2nd and 3rd place bonus as well. We were told we only needed to sell 50 bottles before our "promotion" in training from sales to administrative. We were told if we sold 25 bottles by Tuesday morning it would count as our 50 and we could move out of that part of our "training". This day we were also required to fill out a form for a background check, to make sure we weren't murderers or thieves. Now these people have my social security and other personal info.

I showed up Tuesday morning with 25 bottles sold, all in cash because then I didn't have to charge ridiculous processing fees. Not only did I not get my bonus, nothing was mentioned of my "promotion". I did ask Dan about and he told me they were going to hand them out at Wednesday meeting. Ok, so I get there Wednesday and the same little room has some new faces. The new faces are the girls who are ahead of us in the "training" and they are now "managers in training". They were going to take us under their wing and "train" us. Next thing I know we are out in Olympia going business to business tring to sell knock-off perfumes and colognes.

I spent 6 hours with this lovely young lady as she tried to teach me how to make sales. She is 19 years old and elated about her new carreer. My excitement had dwindled on the other hand. I am seeing through the glam and talk now and I am not excited. When we return back to the office, the others were trying to high five and be as enthusiastic as one can after realizing they have just been had.

Now the entire group was chatting and preparing to go to "wings"for Wednesday night fun. I go because I want my bonus from Jeremy and I am not sure I like what I am seeing and hearing. When I asked Jeremy about the bonus he mentioned, he shrugged me off like it was some joke. I left there without my bonus and an unclear idea on if I would return.

Over my Christmas vacation I did some research and my findings are more than unpleasant; what I found makes me sick and extremely sad. Turns out these guys are professional liars and amazing talkers. All but Abby Noble has been noted in blogs on ripoff report as being liars and scam artists. They were on the news in Arizona for all the lying and deceiving. When Dan Chasin was asked how many people he has brought in and trained who are actual managers, he admitted none, yet. This company has also had other titles such as: National Management and Global Marketing. It appears these guys were chased out of a few different cities and appear to be unstoppable.

I returned Monday morning, after the holidays, to Coastline Management as if I were showing up for work and nobody was there. Well, no "employees", just Jeremy and Abby. I told Jeremy that I would like to have my money back that I invested into the friends and family sales or he could give me the bonus he said I would win along with the perfume. Of course, Jeremy had no idea about the bonus so I continued to say that I would just like my money back that I had invested into bottles I had not even recieved. Jeremy wrote me and explained that I would need to talk to Dan Chasin before I could cash it. He said Dan was the only one with authorization to the bank and funds. I took the check to the bank it was issued and it could not be cashed because the account had innsufficient funds.

Isn't this a multi million dollar company? Has it not been around for 27 years and is only growing and thriving in this failing economy? These people are hiring 17-20 something year olds and filling heads with dreams of a carreer and exciting future. They promise vacations, profit sharing, benefits and bonuses! Couldn't happen at a sadder time...
