I would like to commend Nationwide for doing such a great job at ripping me off.

We had a storm which caused extensive damage to our property. Ripping off roofs and creating damage to the interior of our home.

The adjuster from Nationwide Insurance sent a check for less then $2000 dollars for damages exceeding FIVE TIMES THAT MUCH according to all the cntractors written estimates.

He then threatened us and said if we attempeted to recover for possible acctual damages accured. He would take action against us. Then he stated false and incorrect information as a basis.

I contacted Nationwide and attempted to explain to his manager his accusatuions were in fact incorrect. We schduled a re-inspection. However, I then received a letter stating I may have claimed something and Nationwide was having an investigation.

Again, I attempted to resolve this with explination in regards to the adjusters false and or incorrect accusations and a simple re-inspection of the property which would resolve any and all questions or concerns they may have. Again Nationwide refused to aknowledge any information I submitted to them proving the adjusters accusations were in fact possibly false.

The Nationwide investigator entered our property when I was not home without my knowlege or permission. Which I can, and did prove.

I showed the investigator that the adjusters accusations were incorrect and showed the investigator the items in question proving the adjuster was fabricating or making false information to initiate an investigation. Did not matter as the investigator continued to request all kinds of information which had nothing to do with a storm or damages.

Then they sent a letter stating if I did not make the repairs, Nationwide would drop our insurance and not renew our policy.
It cost me every penny I had and then some.
Then they sent a letter stating if I did not make additional repairs and remove my plow truck from the property,they again would not renew my policy. Nothing like kicking a person when they are down.

So there is no mistake.I have been with Nationwide for almost 20 years and never filed a claim. This is the first.

This company has used just about every tactis to scam and cheat us out of our policy in bad faith.

I have paid for years costing me thousands of dollars for insurance coverage only to be cheated. I have sent all documents proving without doubt our position. However Nationwide continues to practice negligence and ignor all documents submitted.

I filed a presidential complaint with Nationwide. Nothing,No Answer as usual.

At one time a Nationwide rep. did call and said he could not resolve my complaint. But not until after Nationwide said they were dropping our claim.

Beware. This company will stoop to any low to scam the homeowner out of their policy.At least in this claim they have.

Under estimating the damages,fabricating and or submitting incorrect accusations to initiate investigations.Ilegal property entry, ignoring the facts which prove our position and the list goes on and on.
I reported them to the state. However they said get an attorney.

I thought this was America.

This kind of burden has to stop.Taking the blam off the insurance company's shoulders and putting it on the homeowners when they get caught scaming and cheating and under estimating actual damages.

Also the adjuster said that wet walls and floors dry quick and did not include these damages in his estimate. Just goes to show how dis-hinest they can possibly be.
This is what I have insurance for. Or so I thought.
What a ripoff.If anyone should be investigated,it should be Nationwide.
