NCIC, Zero Plus Dialing collect call ripoff Longview Texas
*REBUTTAL Owner of company: Zero Plus Dialing and NCIC are completely separate companies

NCIC billed me $16.54 (plus tax and fees) for a 7 minute collect call made through Zero Plus Dialing Company. On the same day MCI billed me $6.13 for a separate 9 minute call, bad enough, but it made the NCIC charge jump out. I complained online to the California Public Utilities Commission. Lo and behold, ten days later NCIC copied me on a letter to the PUC, saying they were issuing a $10.42 credit on my phone bill. Assuming I actually get the credit, I'm satisfied, but I want to warn others to not use this collect call service, and to suggest complaining to your state PUC for overcharges.

I just wanted to clarify that Zero Plus Dialing is a separate company from NCIC. Zero Plus Dialing provides billing for over 30 different companies.

I dealt with this company years ago, consider yourself lucky! Someone called our house during the day (while we were at work) and our voicemail had two strange recordings on it (attempetd automated collect calls) i thought 'that's strange' but simply deleted the messages, next months bill had around $60 worth of charges from this crooked company. When I called, they claimed someone had to have recieved the calls for the charges to be in effect, and basically accused me of lying about never accepting the attempted calls. I will say, i was ready to fight this company tooth and nail, but did not have to. The charges did just drop off my bill, but not until after some retarded exchanges between them and I through the CPU, where they again stated that it is impossible for me to have been billed without receiveing the calls, blah blah blah. There is a website i found (sorry i cannot remember it) where you directly contact these ridiculous telephone companies (their services are rendered when someone attempts to call collect from hotels, hospitals, etc.) (there are at least 2 other similar companies)and tell them via fax that your phone number DOES NOT ACCEPT CALLS from their company, and to NEVER attempt to let one of their calls go through. So maybe if you find that, that can prevent future problems. they are dirtbags with a capitol D.
