Newhope Modification, I found out today((APR2009) it was all a scam. It makes me sick, all I was trying to do was modify my mortgage. The scam worked like this. I found them on the internet and called they told me about their services I thought about it and decided to go with them. The next step was to pay their fee of $1500.00 I did so in two installments. They then contacted me and said my loan was modified if I made Mar payment. I did that as well. It has been two weeks since I have heard anything my mortgage company said that it was no longer in litigation so I called this morning and their phones have been shut off. All!! of their numbers have been shut off. The next step was to look up newhope modifications on the net. My eyes were opened to something I didn't want to see. I have filed complaints with the FTC, my bank and now here. I will do all that I can to retrieve my money and make sure newhope modifications stayesw out of business.

Announced Mar 16th - that they are going after NEW HOPE for fraudulent business practices. Article is from another complaint board called ConsumerAffairs - if ROR removes the link - go to that site and search on the title.
