This is a review of NY City Boilers at 2337 McDonald Ave. in Brooklyn, NY. In some listings, their address is 15 Sloane Place.

NY City Boilers misdiagnosed the problem with my heating system. They said the problem was a broken circulator. Their tech assured me that replacing this circulator would solve my heating problem. I agreed to have this circulator replaced only because I was assured that this would correct my heating problem. When I asked the tech what recourse I had if that didn't fix things, he kept repeating that it would work. When I pressed, the tech told me to "call Biagio" [his boss]

Well, replacing the circulator fixed nothing. Also, I took a look at my boiler the following day and saw that one of the pipes was now leaking water. So, I called NY City Boilers, and explained the situation - calmly and matter-of-factly.

What response did I get in return? A rage-filled tirade. Think Yosemite Sam or a cracked-out Courtney Love. If this sad man hadn't taken hundreds of dollars from me, it would've been funny. Out of nowhere, DiBaggio screams:

1/ He lost $3000 in business, because his techs took too much time to replace my circulator. (That's MY fault .... how?) He can't manage his time & employees, so that's the customer's fault.

2/ I'm a "SONOFABITCH" because I dare complain that the job they did was not satisfactory. He also hurled several "F*** YOU!'s at me. What a psychotic charmer.

3/ "Don't call here again." Yeah, I guess once you've ripped off a customer, and they get wise to your game, there's really nothing more the customer can do to enrich you.

This co. will take your business, misdiagnose the problems, slap on a cosmetic "repair" that won't fix the problem, and when the "repair" turns out to be a faulty or inadequate, they'll go into a rage-filled defensive posture. If they mess up, it's the customer's fault.

Later, I learned the circulator they installed cost $75 at Home Depot. They charged me $525.That's for the part alone. It doesn't include labor. Even for crooks, that is a crazy mark-up.

Also, I posted a review of this company on merchantcircle.com. In a pathetic attempt at intimidation, NY City Boiler responded by posting my real address, and other so-called information about me and my residence. Of course, 90% of that "information" is flat out wrong. Their response also has inaccuracies and flat-out lies about what occurred the evening of the repair.

They blame the problem with my heating system on faulty heating-engineering. The problem with that logic is that my heating worked perfectly fine all last winter in all temperature extremes. And, of course, there's the problem of the leaky pipe that they left behind.

(btw, beware reviews/ratings on merchantcircle.com That's how I found this company. Turns out, merchants can delete bad reviews as they see fit.)

False and Inaccurate Representaion ( A Satisfied Costumer)

AUTHOR: Anna Calise - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 08, 2009

Dear Fellow Consumers,
Firstly I would like to introduce myself. My name is Anna Calise I am a company owner as well as a mother of three. I currently own three hair salons in the Brooklyn/Queen boroughs. I have been a customer of NY City Boilers for a little over a year now. The owner and workers belonging to this business have on numerous occasions went out of their way to deliver 100% Customer Satisfaction. Unfortunately, my husband recently deceased and I am a single mother raising three kids as well as running and operating three high volume salons. These past few years have been quite difficult for my children and I, and on numerous occasions I was in need of boiler assistance at both my home and businesses. A good friend referred me to NY City Boilers, in mid January of 2008 when my business boiler completely broke down in one of the coldest yet busiest seasons. Frantic, I called over twenty companies at midnight, hoping one would have the situation fixed by the time the salon was to open the next business day. After twenty calls and still no luck, I was about to give up. Then a friend had told me about the reliable company she deals with. After just one phone call at 3:00 am, the owner of the company answered and within three hours my situation was resolved and my business was up and running. Not only did this company give me a speedy resolution, after learning about my financial difficulty they helped me out financially. Since then I have had four other situations in which I was in need of help with my boilers (mostly at my residence). No matter the time of day or situation at hand, I know that I can count on NY City Boilers. They have been nothing short of reliable, friendly, and understanding. I highly recommend this company for any little or big job, and you can be sure they will do the best they can at a great rate! As a single mother, I wouldn't be able to afford any other company's ridiculous and unnecessary costs. Fortunately I haven't had any recent problems, but on January 5th 2009 my boiler was not working at one of my salons, and I misplaced the number to this company. When searching online for the number, I came across this report. It was quite unfortunate to hear of this customers situation and to read the report she had written. I can assure anyone who has read that customers complaint, that she inaccurately and quite maliciously described a company who has been nothing but reliable and friendly for myself and many other neighborhood friends. I am asking anyone who is questioning the morality as well as reputability of NY City Boilers Company to personally read my letter and if need email me at my personal email adress, to get an accurate recomendation. Thank you for your time and may God Bless,
Anna Sincerejfreak@gmail.com

This is a review of NY City Boilers, 2337 McDonald Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. In some listings, their address is 15 Sloane Place.

NY City Boilers misdiagnosed the problem with my heating system. They said the problem was a broken circulator. Their tech assured me that replacing this circulator would solve my heating problem. I agreed to let them replace my circulator relying expressly on this assurance.

When I asked the tech what recourse I had if replacing the circulator didn't fix things, he kept repeating that it would work. When I pressed, the tech told me to "call Biagio" [his boss]

Well, replacing the circulator fixed nothing. Also, I took a look at my boiler the following day and saw that one of the pipes was now leaking water!

At that point, I called NY City Boilers, and explained the situation - calmly and matter-of-factly. What response did I get in return? A rage-filled tirade. Think Yosemite Sam or a cracked-out Courtney Love. If this sad man hadn't taken hundreds of dollars from me, it would've been funny. Out of nowhere, Biagio screams:

1/ He lost $3000 in business, because his techs took too much time to replace my circulator. (That's MY fault .... how?) He can't manage his time & employees, so that's the customer's fault.

2/ I'm a "SONOFAB*TCH" because I dare complain that the job they did was not satisfactory. He also hurled several "F*CK YOU!'s at me. What a psychotic charmer.

3/ "Don't call here again." Yeah, I guess once you've ripped off a customer, and they get wise to your game, there's really nothing more the customer can do to enrich you.

This co. will take your business, misdiagnose the problems, slap on a cosmetic or unnecessary "repair" that won't fix the problem, and when the "repair" turns out to be a faulty or inadequate, they'll go into a rage-filled defensive posture. If they mess up, it's the customer's fault.

Today, I learned the circulator they installed cost $75 at Home Depot. They charged me $525.That's for the part alone. It doesn't include labor. Even for crooks, that is a crazy mark-up.

Also, I posted a review of this company on (((Redacted))). In a pathetic attempt at intimidation, NY City Boiler posted my real name, my real address, and other so-called information about me and my residence. Of course, 90% of that "information" is flat out wrong. Their response also has inaccuracies and flat-out lies about what occurred the evening of the repair, including the timeline and temperatures involved.

The company blames their failure to repair as promised on faulty heat engineering in my home. That logic fails: last winter, the heating operated with no problems even in extreme temperatures. There was no change in engineering between then and now.

In addition, this company's negligence and lack of know-how is evident in the leaky pipe they left above my boiler.

(btw, beware reviews/ratings on ((( Redacted)))That's how I found this company. Turns out, merchants can delete bad reviews as they see fit.)
