OAN Services AKA Affinity Marketing Partners, LLC. fradulent billing Northridge, California

Opened my Qwest phone bill and started looking at the charges. Found a $14.95 charge from "Affinity Marketing Partners, LLC.OAN Services, LLC. For questions & rates, call 1-800-944-9646 WWW.OANWEB.COM; Jul 01 PRIVASAFE EMAIL MO FEE - 14.95" listed under OAN Services, Inc. Misc Charges and Credits.

The phone number takes you to Qwest's billing call center. It's the same place the number on my Qwest bill takes you 1-800-947-5084. It is also the same place the phone number on their web site takes you: 1-800-738-5695. They don't even have their own billing call center. It's probably some punk sitting in his basement ripping people off with a little billing knowledge.

I called and had the charges removed. The Qwest rep told me that "so and so" (for security purposes) authorzied the charges. "so and so" is not a name on my account. If your phone company charges you for something supposedly authorized by someone that is not named on your account, have the charges reversed immediately!

Their address is a PO Box in Northridge California. I bet California has pretty good laws against this. But since I don't live in California, it sure seems like a federal issue.

The thing that bothers me the most is that Qwest even has the OAN logo on the bill...I'm going to try and contact the fraud department at Qwest about this.
