We took a 60 minute presentation and were misled by a sales rep named Ken Stephanie that they would buy our wyndham timeshare out so we could buy this one at Occidental Vacation Club now under Barcelo Management. We were verbally assured that our time share would be bought for $23,000 which was $4,000 over what we paid to Wyndham. The certificate of ownership would be sent for by Ken and his team and processed. He said they could not take the price off our new share with OVC though. We shook and signed the contract stating all of this and we were told it would take 1-2 months to buy the other time share out and we would get paperwork in the mail. By the 5th month, I contacted ken by cellphone and he told me that they were behind. Something didnt sound right so I called OVC in Aruba and was told that all 4 representatives who we dealt with and who signed our contract were no longer working there. I asked the lady if she could look at our paperwork for the buying of our wyndham time share and she said there were no copies to that effect in my folder and that if I had a copy she could do it. We look and sure enough we have no copy of that paper that we signed that stated they would buy our time share from wyndham. We were devastated and bitter towards this scam artist that represented OVC. OVC prides themself on what a wonderful vacation club they are but yet wouldnt even assist us without that paperwork. We do not know where to go from here and cannot even sell this as a time share because its not, its a destination club. We are locked into $650 maintenance fees for 25 years and $200 a month for 10 years. Thank god its only good for 25 years and not a lifetime but we still own our wyndham timeshare and pay $660 a year for life for maintenance fees. We are stuck with 2 timeshares or vaction clubs and felt that we were misled by OVC representatives to purchase under false pretenses.

seeking a lawyer now but not sure how this international thing works and if the employees do not work there any more how they can rectify the situation for us. We do not even want to vacation there after this, which is ashame.

There was another couple from NJ there too who got taken for the same situation, they had a timeshare in Atlantic City and were worse off then we were in their contract.
