Chris Westphal is a Inspiration.  For many people like my self with piercings and tattoo's that you can be successful.  He's made a living out of hard work and giving the same opportunity to others that was given to him. 

I've almost quit posting on this website because it's almost become a non factor over the last 6 months.  People are becoming more educated.  And anyone that reads these threads knows that %95 of the crap on here is from people that didn't make it 3 full days in this business. 

But I thought it'd be nice for Chris to know I'm still inspired even though we are 800 miles apart.  I've seen him in the bulletin since I was in training and he's still rockin it.  And also to remind Rio that Jan. 15th is less then six months away.  And so far this year I've promoted 3 new offices.  How's the $10/hr job world treating you?

You take advantage of good people trying to make a REAL living. Peddling perfume in a parking lot to take home $2.00 a bottle is in no way a means to make a living. All you are doing is kicking back watching people struggling to make ends meet for their family while you make a profit of them. Its absolutely sick and disgusting. And to think that I actually tried to make it work there... but its okay Chris, I forgive you. I'm the one laughing now! I don't brag about the money I make, quote me in one post where I said I made a certain amount.  I said I live comfortable and am debt free, which is true. But I don't consider my self "successful" yet my household income is less then $250,000 a year and that to me is "successful" in this business!!  Come and talk to my in 5 years though.  And you're are right I do talk talk and talk some more.  I could go on with no end. 

You say I'm pre scripted.  But not from whoever you assume "they" is.  I'm pre scripted from Napoleon Hill, Rhonda Byrne, Jack Canfield, Rick Warren, Zig Ziglar, Ken Blanchard, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, first and foremost God, and whole lot of others.  You say you've seen the "manuals", whos I don't have one. 

And then you tell me to mark my calendar I will I promise, Jan 15th, but I tell you to do the same.  And if you want to compare the things that the two of us accomplish in 2010 I'll be more than happy!  That would be interesting if all things are equal and honest.  That'd never happen though because you lie through teeth, eyes, skin, and your soul.  But I also challenge any person who reads these post to do the same thing once you read it.  And whatever you make your decisions on whether to do or not to do the business or believe or not believe in the business.  See where you end up in a year.  I've been here 6 and I'll be here another 25-30 unless I opt for early retirement. 

But all this back and forth neglects the initial BS post here.  Here is a guy who comes in for a 2nd interview and blasts away with a ton of BS.  I've met Chris 3 times and every time he was very professional, very excited!!, and he's done really well since he's been here.  I'd say better then myself.  This unemployable idiot makes claims that Chris has never opened up "stores" anywhere, first of all they aren't stores, next he's promoted a handful of offices.  I may be wrong but I believe at one point he was the top " up and coming" regional in the company.  And then he gets pissed off and rants about the enthusiasm the people have, I'm sure he's a happy fellow.  And makes comments about being "hopped up on coke" I've never seen any successful office that accepts any drug use by it's staff Never.  And chris has been successful in this business.  And then something about a "soul-sister" is that some kind of racist comment?  What a a*s!  Any intelligent person should be able to see the gaping holes in this post.  But these are the people that complain, uneducated, unemployable, in this case racist idiots!!

Anyone who knows anything about direct sales knows the truth.  And in your opinion my business is a scam.  In my opinion it's the greatest opportunity around.  Is Mary Kay a scam?  Is AVON a scam?  Is Amway a scam?  Is Priamerica a scam?  They are all large commercial direct sales companies.  But our opportunity is better then theres because there is no investment, no fee's, and no one ever has to buy anything.

So the same story holds true, some will some won't but anyone looking for a opportunity at a above average income and lifestyle that is willing to put in a quality 90 days of training can become successfull here.  The smart applicants that do their "research" read both sides and make their choice.  Some people choose to live check to check just getting buy and others don't.  Some people work in fast food, gas station, warehouse, and dead end jobs because they are afraid to take a chance.  And then there are those of us who prefer to get what we are worth.  Which is what you put in is what you get out.

I love how people make outlandish comments and insult those of us who've made it.  I shouldn't talk though I do call them blow outs.  But you'd think a product that's been around over 20 years must be alright.  And direct sales has been around forever.  And Scentura itself is just the distributor.  But if none of the bussiness works then how did chris get there?  How did I get here?  And oh yeah there has been over 900 offices open world wide that distribute the product.  So that's probably somewhere in the name of 1,500 managers.  And then you add in the distributors and the blow-outs and over the last 20 years the company has had probably 200,000 people work in and around the bussiness.  So out of that we have some people like these unemployed folks who never even got started with the company.  I've been in the bussiness for over 6 years now.  I'm not rich and famous but I live in a nice house have the money to do ALL the things I like to do.  Travel a little.  And take care of my family.  So it's been 10 times what I was offered in my Interview.  Chris you've been doing well for a long time, keep it up.  JFBD

In addition to my above post, it is very important to pick out the aspects of a legitimate business when looking for a job.

A legitimate business DOES NOT:

1. Have music blaring over the phone/in their office. Such a methodology is as un-professional as it gets.

2. Perform multiple interviews simultaneously. No one, and I mean NO ONE, operates in such a fashion.

3. Have a receptionist out front who grills you with personal questions while you are waiting. What business is it of hers?

4. Take your scocial sercurity number before filling out an application, and then doesn't even take an application.

5. Hire for key positions at high salary with 'no experience required'. Try to imagine a medical group advertising for a dentist with 'no experience required'. 

6. Maintain an office decorated similar to your beer-drinking pals' basement.

7. 'Hires' 40 to 80 people per week, every week, no matter what the position.

8. Refuse to disclose the name of their parent company.

9. Belittle their employees with out-right vulgarities in front of others.

10. Demand you become estranged from family and friends as a condition of continued employment.

11. Continually change their operating company name every few months.

To keep it simple, if one has to sit through a three hour presentation with no clear idea they will be selling door-to-door, then the operation is misleading and unethical.

An inferiour and over-priced product doesn't help much either. A few years ago, I was approached by two young women selling this junk outside the local library. Upon asking, I told them I liked Jovan Musk. 'Ohhhh!' one woman squealed, 'I have just the subsitute!' She produced a smarmy, over-sweet smelling concoction that I'm not even sure was for men. Anyway, she wanted $28 dollars for it, which on it's own was outrageous. I pay $18 dollars for the real thing and in a bigger bottle (yes, I understand the concentration difference between perfume vs. colonge, but it doesn't matter: Hers' smelled like s**t). And the box the real thing comes in doesn't look like it's been handled by a multitude of hands for an entire year, or have the word, 'tester' written on the side.

I've have recieved quite an eye-full of Scentura and it's scripted operations over time. The most die-hard wanna-bees in these companies have the least ability to think for themselves. All the responces and even vulgar insults that they sling have all been carefully crafted before hand to deal with detractors of all types.

The most pertinate information I've found has come from wildely successful Scentura operators who eventually left the business, and all for the same reason: they all developed moral complications over the long haul by being, and dealing with, the unethical ---regardless of how much money they made.

In a nutshell, 95% of all people 'hired' for the job won't make a dime, and if you have your own 'office', you won't make a dime telling the truth.

What also catches my attention is the almost cult-like dimensions Scentura mets out to its' players. If you have ever studied the everyday workings of the Church of Scientology from a distance, or been involved with it and defected, then you are aware of the absolutely glaring similarities between the two. The most striking being the enourmous amounts of work performed by the lowly, for little or no pay, and the encouraged estrangements to distance ones' self from family and friends because they 'don't understand'.

In Scientology, if you complain, you are labled a 'suppressive person'. Working for Scentura, you can be branded a 'worthless piece of s**t'. Imagine your own sister or mother comming home in tears after being told such things. What conclusions would you draw (and what would you be tempted to do about it)?    

If you are smart, hardworking and passionate, you defintely have a shot for this 'opportunity'. If you are all of those things and possess a sense of ethics and honesty, you have NO chance.

On the other hand, if you are just the right socio-path for the job, the higher you rise, the more isolated you will become. Your 'new family' will only love you as long as the money continues to flow upward and the bottles down. Befoul that holy pipeline, and it will be curtains for you, friend. No one will care. You will be shunned and ignored.

One last note: I, too, was inticed into the impossible promises and rediculous claims for a bit after being 'interviewed' and 'hired' by Chis Westphal. Towards the end of the presentation, Chris informed us that we had to be absolutely honest about our criminal background check information.

'If you can't be honest with me', he said grimly with his arms crossed, 'then I want nothing to do with you.'

What a coincidence, Chris. I couldn't agree more.
