We purchased Ooma to replace our home phone line. In signing up, we were forced to accept premium service when we did not want it. Opting out of it is very difficult and customer services is not helpful.  Then, after we had been told that it would not affect our home security system, it turned out that our system would not work with it. On top of that, the quality of calls was not even close to our landline. We were forced to cancel service because of those issues but the company refused to take responsbility or give us a refund of any kind.
