How can I start as this has been such an ordeal it has actually taken a toll on my health. Going to the doctor tomorrow as my blood pressure has skyrocketed since doing business with Optimum RV in Ocala, FL. Let me start by when I was searching the internet for a used travel trailer. I came across this one I liked and it was at Optimum RV in Ocala, FL. I would like to mention I am a Quality Control Inspector for aviation and many years into my profession. I am good at what I do and miss nothing as I have peoples lives in my hands. Having said that I also espressed that to the General Sales manager Pete there and the salesman Marco Cartwright. I went to go look at this travel trailer that they had up on their website. Of course when I drive almost 2 hours to get there, this looked liked someone dragged it through a forest as it had gashes on the siding and was in very poor shape. So, that was a no go. I told them that I was coming there to buy a trailer and by God we are going to find something. Thank God it was pouring rain out at the time as it turned out to be a godsend. The salesaman went through his stock of trailers in my price range. We went out to look at all of these. First one was leaking, second one was leaking and smelled like cat pee, third one I liked and it was the 2011 Innsbruck Gulf Stream 34'. We entertained the idea of a fifth wheel as they would deliver it at a cost. The ones I looked at were shotty as best. This was done on 06/16/2017.

So I decided upon the 2011 Innsbruck Guld Stream. They were so nice to me. Allowed my two big dogs inside and I thought this place was actually a good delership as I had a terrible ordeal with General RV in Jacksonville prior to this. I signed all the paperwork having the financing approved before I went there on 6/16! So everything was set. I was trading in a 2004 Forest River Flagstaff 25D Super-lite. I have kept up this trailer all the time, replace both vented skylghts with all new assemblies, everything worked and I told them about my siding dsibondment and even showed them the pictures of all the damage I thought they needed to see. The sales manager said it should not be any issue as they were going to give me $5800.00 for the trade in. I said that I would be picking up this 2011 Innsbruck on Friday 6/23/2017 at noon. I had to take off the day before without pay and received a point on my record for not having enough PTO to take the day off. But, I had to do this as I so needed to get out of that smaller trailer. I had to unpack everything I could, box it up and store it at where I am renting a spot to live at for the time being. I had a friend that planned on helping me to tow the trailer I had and go to Optimum RV on Friday the 23rd of June. He had serious time restraints as I promised him I would be back to Jacksonville at Fleming Island at least by 4pm. I have half way there on Friday towing my trailer and received a call from Pete the General Sales Manager and he said quote " How long are you from home?" Here is when I got that sinking feeling in my stomach as I knew this was not good news. He then said that the AC unit on the 2011 Innsbruck is not working and needs to be replaced and he wondered if I could go back to Fleming Island and pick up the 2011 Innsbruck on Saturday! I said this is not going to happen and I wondered why they are just finding this out now? It turns out they the power tongue jack also failed and they had to replace that as well. I told him I cannot turn back and I expected this to be all cheked out as promised by Noon! When I arrived there I could tell something was up. The salesman Marco finally addmitted that he "dropped the ball" and communication was not done correctly as he was off a few days and they never got the info that this trailer had to be ready for a noon pickup on 6/23! Things started to go downhill very quickly, as it turns out there was more problems than I was told. There was a ground problem with the exterior tail lights, the AC was done, but now more issues. I also instructed Marco on 6/19 that I will be transferring food from my Forest River to the Innsbruck so please have the refridgerator up and running to temp before I get there. He replied there will be not a problem to do that! Well that was not done either and the freezer in the Innsbruck was just starting to get cold when I got to see it in the service bay. Now I was starting to loose my temper. My friend and I had to wait there for 5 hours before this Innsbruck was pulled out of the service bay! Then I asked Pete the Sales Manager if he could transfer a 2" ball I had on my hitch to another one I had that was a 2 5/16" that I needed to tow the Innsbruck home with. He said that would have to go through service and would cost me $60.00!!! I about lost it right there! All this dissapointment and they could not even do that for me for free!!! So I knew right there that this place is a total rip off and they are a bunch of theives, and liars!

All paperwork is now completed. Transfer of titles and all paperwork is signed, the Innsbruck was mine leagally. My tags were transferred and on the Innsbruck. It finally comes out of the service bay and they bring it out front so I can transfer my food. They had to open the slide out so I could get to the fridge. We started transfering the food to a warm fridge as it takes time for these to cool down. I had expensive food to transfer! I happened to take a last look around and noticed that the slide out must have caught on something on the left rear of the slide out and severly damaged the skirt and some of the siding and caused damage to a support to the skirt. Then the Galley drain pipe was hanging with broken support straps!  I was about to rip my hair out! I showed this to Marco and he said he would go get Pete. He shows up and seeing the damage and he said it was like that. I told him I had pictures of this entire thing from before and it wasn't like this! SO, he say's why don't we forget about this entire deal and you just take your trailer back! I was shocked and at this point how I was being treated that I knew I just needed to get the heck out of there and deal with this later legally somehow. Finally got out of there and back home and my friend had to leave ASAP. SO I start setting this up to find out that the slide out was binding again this time it was not the skirt or siding but the freezer door latch does not lock all the way and everything I had in the freezer poured out including a gallon of chocolate ice cream which was all over the floor with everything else inside the freezer! I about had a heart attack! This place does not deserve 1 freaking dollar from anyone! Do not do business with them ever. I called the insurance I purchased for 2800.00 and made a claim for all of this. Plus I found out the GFI in the galley is not working, and 110v outlet does not work and now I have a terrible leak in the roof of the slide out in the front going into the ceiling. I hope some lawyer can sue the pants off of them for what I had to go through.

Please for gods sake do not do any business with Optimum RV in Ocala, Fl!
