Park Avenue OB/GYN Lady in billing dept RUDE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND HER ATTITUDE WAS EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE Glendale, Arizona

People in the Phoenix area should know about my experience with Park Avenue OB/GYN at 5757 W. Thunderbird Rd. Suite E-157, Glendale, AZ 85308 so hopefully it will help others not have to go through what I went through and save them time and money. 

I made a call the day before my appointment to confirm time and cost for the Mirena Contraceptive inserted for birth-control.  They transferred me to the billing department and the lady in the dept said it would only be the co-pay of $60 and that was it.  I wanted to be sure because I was on a fixed budget so I confirmed with her that it would only be the co-pay and she said, "yes."  I asked if I wanted it to be removed for some reason how much it would cost and she said it would only be the co-pay of $60.  I wrote EVERYTHING down as I always do when discussing anything to do with money.  So I went ahead and had it inserted.

Thirty days later, I received a bill in the mail for $500.00.  I called her and she was EXTREMELY RUDE and denied everything she said even after I told her I wrote it down.  She then got mad and basically called me a liar and said that she would never say that.  I told her that I wrote down word for word what she had told me and she said that I was still responsible for the bill.

A couple months go by and I am noticing that it is causing MAJOR side effects, so I called to see how much it would cost to have removed and the front office put me in contact with the same RUDE LADY in the billing department.  She told me it would cost the co-pay ($60) PLUS another $500 to have it removed.  I had no choice but agree because of the HORRID side effects the Mirena Contraceptive was giving me.

If I would have known it would have cost this much, I would have NEVER had it inserted in me, due to the fixed budget I am on.  I knew I couldn't afford it if I would have known what the up front overall fees where.

So I have been paying as much as I could every month which is between $10-$20 per month.  I called for my yearly check up and the RUDE, OFFENSIVE AND UNPROFESSIONAL lady in the billing department told me that she refused to let the Dr. see me until my bill was paid in FULL. 

Well I needed my birth control so I called around and found another ob/gyn.  Come to find out that their co-pay is half of what it was (now only $30).  Plus, they are much quicker to see me.  I would have to wait at Park Avenue OB/GYN on average of 2 hours but sometimes it was even as long as 4 hours.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to Park Avenue OB/GYN at 5757 W. Thunderbird Suite E-157.  They are the most unprofessional firm I have ever come in contact with and that ever so sweet (sarcastically saying) lady in the billing department will continue getting my $10-$20 per month.  She keeps saying that she is going to send me to collection and one of the sincerely sweet nurses told me that as long as I'm paying something every month she can't send me to collection, just don't miss a month.  The nurse was the only person there that I would say was professional and genuine.

AGAIN!!  Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to this clinic.  By not going, it will save you TIME AND MONEY!!!
