Received this 4-page scam letter over the weekend. Definitely one of those "if it sounds too good be true, it is" kinds of things.
If offering a free information package why do they also ask for a check or money order? If you look closely at the first page where it tells you to send $49.70 payable to Peoples Publishing House and to use the envelope provided - to which you have to adhere postage - you are advised to postdate the check from 30-45 days.
Sorry, but if the information package is free then you should be able to request the information and if you decide to keep it then submit payment; or return the information package. Postdating a check for information from a person or company you don't know or have never done business with before is just asking for trouble.
