I failed the Emissions Test. I took the paperword and code given by test site to Pep Boys.  After an hour they said it was a module that sat behind the Catalytic Converter inside.  I Ok'd the repair.

Anouther hour later I was told that they could not fix (replace) the module because the muffler pipe had a crack behind the catalytic converter.

I paid 98.00 for the diagnosis and left shop.

Leaving shop I found the transmission clunked and did not shift properly when changing gears.

I heard a loud noise from the exhaust that was not thier before.

I have to go to a good shop and have all this fixed.

I will be suing in Small Claims Court when repairs are done.

I do have all paperworks.

Pep boys tried to replace and Oxygen Sensor due had not passed smog control.  The cars exhaust system was rusted out and the metal was soft.  So it broke the muffler pipe trying to break it free.  They do not do welder work so I was rolled out the door and charged for Code Reading. Problem was unfixed and had to go to Midas Mufflers to have the job done.

End.

Earnhardt Dodge in Mesa AZ was paid to inspect the Used Car Purchase from Brown Chevrolet on University in Mesa AZ.

Earnhardt Dodge did not find or report this very expensive and serious matter.

The muffler system had rusted out and the metals were soft, anyone would have cracked the pipe trying to break the Oygen Sensor free for replacement.

Midas Muffler placed a new complete system on using Pep Boys Lifetime Guaranteed Oygen Sensors.

Pep Boys found the problem that could have lead to accident and did not do fixed.
