Persians of Jewel Vaughn aka Robbie & Julie Vaughn did not ship kitten and would not refund my money.  It was a battle all of the way through and like the others, I had to file a claim with Paypal and credit card companies.  Robbie made sure he dragged out the process just long enough to scam us to a point where it was almost imposssible to get the money back. (FDIC law states once it's past 6 months, your credit card issuer doesn't have to apply a chargeback. Paypal's deadline is 90 days).

A couple of things that I found out about them, after the fact, is that they are NOT a LLC as they so list on their website and through Paypal.  You can go to the KY Secretary of State and search every known alias of this "cattery" and you will not find them listed as an active or dormant LLC.  Should Robbie & Julie decide to incorporate their LLC after this posting, be sure to check the date as to when it was created.  Listing your business as an LLC when you aren't, is fraud in itself.

Robbie lists his employment on LinkedN as Persians of Jewels Vaughn, with his employment ending at the KY Mental Health Department in October 2013.  He (or "Cliff") will probably conveniently change this once he sees this. Why is this important or relevant?  Because during his many "attempts" to ship the kittens/cats he often used his employment as a reason for delays in shipping.

I've also noticed that POJV uses the same kitten pictures over and over and you rarely see pictures of available kittens over 2 weeks old on his website.  Also, if you look at his pedigrees, you will find inconsistencies in them as well.

Other things that I found during this scam was that at times it felt like I was talking to 3 different people. Initially, when I emailed or spoke with Robbie on the phone he had good grammar and writing skills.  Near the end, he often mispelled words or created odd sentences that really didn't make sense.  His and Julie's later emails were full of threats, some pretty scary, to a point where I almost filed a report with the local police department.

The new USDA laws were created to protect buyers from these type of scammers, if you were a victim please notify them as well as CFA.  This is fraud on a Federal level as well.

A good breeder doesn't treat his clients this way.
