Philadelphia Revenue Water Department 2 People living in a row home being overcharged for water Philadelphia Pennsylvania

 To whom it may concern Within the past year I have received bills for water usage in the amount of 700 or more dollars. We have had the water company replace the meters 3 different times and that would work for approximately two months and then the bill would jump back up again. The representative at the water company advised us to pay our regular bill rather then the amount on the bill right after that happened we received another bill for an additional $700. The three water company technicians they came to our home to replace the meters advised that there are no leaks in the home and that there should not be a bill generated for this high of amount. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue we where advised to go on a payment plan, we agreed so our water wouldn't be shut off. Then we had a hearing which we where basically advised that bill is correct.

Now we are stuck with a 1, 800 bill and a 3 hundred and something bill that just came this month also received a shut off notice because we didn't pay the correct amout on payment arrangement which they apologized for sending the wrong payment arrangement amout via mail....but still are in danger of being shut off because they made an error We are just 2 adults and a cat that live in a old row house with hardware floors that are old and the amount of water we supposedly used for the last year would mean we shouldn't have any floors to walk on. We don't know what to do, we don't want to pay additional money that we don't have and be credited back 5 to 10 years from now when they have no problem stealing from us by forcing us to give up our last just to have water
