This bank will fee you to death. Give you slow/poor customer service. The behavior of the representatives is one of if the Bank Policy says I can steal from you I will. This banks managment should be ashamed of they way they steal and treat their customersI signed up for PNC banks $101 offer. They immediately started stealing from my account. I was charged fees for having an account. We never received the $101 from PNC. PNC Customer service is slow and rude. I asked to close the newly opened account and they charged me another $50. They have 12 pages of fees. This bank is the worst I have ever dealt with. I'm asking for the return of the $50 they stole for closing the account after I saw what a terrible bank they are.

PNC confirms they are a rude and rationalize poor customer service

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 01, 2008

PNC is a ripoff bank. PNC is hostile toward consumers. PNC protects themselves with disclaimers that allow for service loopholes and will utilize Terms of Service and other agreements when rationalizing the theft of funds from customer accounts. PNC uses false advertising to defraud consumers. I believe what the bible says about Thou shall not Steal.

PNC has becomer bolder and bolder about picking consumers pockets. It's no longer nickel-and-diming -- they are taking $20 and $30 a pop as PNC comes up with ever-more-creative ways to "fee" us to death. The banking industry collects more than $50 billion a year in various service charges, more than twice the total of a decade ago. It's time we pushed back.

Shining the light of scrutiny on PNC policies, practices and employee behavior is thanks enough to me. I got my money away from thoses thieving losers. They will never get another particle of business from me. I'm protesting PNC practices and involving our lawmakers.

PNC fails to realize its responsibility as a member of the banking comunity to treat customers fairly and honestly. PNC is among the worst banks. They are run by a bunch of cowboys who are playing a role in undermining confidence in the entire banking industry.

"PNC has been extensively reported to the consumer affairs department, state banking authority, state of PA for allegations of questionable banking practices. The whole argument basis of the mindless twit from PNC (the representative who is replying to my complaint on this web site) is repudiated in that PNC deliberately and with forethought creates large amounts of rules so consumers have to sort through excessive legaleze to determine and guess what loop holes PNC may invoke to support its unethical activities.

Additionally, To the PNC representative responding to my complaints on this web site -- identify yourself or turn this complaint over to your supervisor. I think you should get another job. PNC is sucking your brains out. Your an enabler of the PNC thieves. I will not reply to anymore of your postings because I think you might be mentally sick and I dont want to upset you.

Once Again, not a ripoff

If I were talking to you, I would give you my name in a heartbeat and an extension where you can reach me but 1) this is the internet, get real and 2) you're obviously a little mad about my response to your problem. I suggest you give me your name and an address where I can send you a copy of the Consumer Account Agreement so you can "not" read it again. I won't have an argument with you about an account you no longer have; it was just my advice for the future so don't be mad. I wish you would've read your offer as well as you're reading my posts. Maybe we wouldn't have had this little back-and-forth. There's no need to post back, just READ YOUR FINE PRINT in the future.

Little PNC Representative Hides his/her identity

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 27, 2007

Really nothing new in PNC most recent response. This PNC person (who hides their identy under the name bankworker) is still trying to rationalize PNC's crooked behavior. Among the bad banks PNC ranks among the absolute worst. If you value your money I wouldn't do business with PNC.

PNC obviously also suffers from not being able to recruit quality customer services reprentatives. The PNC representative that has been trying to respond to my concerns is clueless about the life time value of the customer and the importance of basic courtesy.

The rude PNC reprentative has embellished this report with the their mental midgetry should provide their name so I can include it in my communications with Jim Rohr (PNC CEO) and Joe Guyaux. They might care about the PNC employee behavior problem demostrated in this report. Whats your name PNC reprentative? After you provide your name turn this complaint over to your supervisor.

I am not rationalizing anything

AUTHOR: Bankworker - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 24, 2007

If you read my response clearly then you would understand that whenever there's an offer, there's almost ALWAYS fine print. Maybe that's why you have a problem because you don't pay attention that well. Banks are responsible for advising you, however they won't always put it in 16 point print like kids need. In addition to that, companies are very backed up in the customer service on holidays with employee vacations and numbskull customers that have invalid or stupid complaints like this one. Again, there was no ripoff like I stated and it's best you stay away from any bank if your attention span is that small.....merry christmas!

PNC confirms they are a rude and rationalize poor customer service

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 24, 2007

Thank you for confirming what we already know about your
bank --- PNC is rude. The first sentence of the reply from PNC Bank insults. PNC is a very unprofessional bank. Basically, PNC FAILS TO TAKE RESONSIBILITY for its overly complex rules intended upon defrauding responders to their deceptive offers.

Incidentally, I did have direct deposit for this account. The mention of the $500 was not communicated clearly as it was placed deceptively deep within the plethora of appendices material PNC uses to not honor its offers. When I spoke to the PNC about the offer I was told all I needed to do is have a direct deposit.

The PNC letter whines about poor service because it Christmas. What a lame bank. I recommend staying away from this bank. They couldnt have sent a better example of what a lousy bank they are. I have had long standing accounts with Chase and Citibank for years and they are much better banks compared to PNC.

No ripoff here

AUTHOR: Bankworker - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 22, 2007

If you read the offer correctly, this is an offer for new customer's that sign up for direct deposit. You will receive $101 after your first qualifying direct deposit. The direct deposit has to be more than $500.00 to qualify for the bonus. I'm certain that you're direct deposit, if you even had a deposit wasn't more than $500.00 and if it was, then you can certainly argue your point with the bank. If not, it's advised that you read your materials through a little better. As far as customer service, duh it's a week before Christmas. As far as fees, all banks assess an early closure fee, and all banks assess service charges. It's probably best that you don't have an account if you don't know that.
