I have been constantly harrassesed by this company. They hardly ever leave a message but call 10-15 times a day. If they are a reputable company, why not contact the person they are so "hot" to contact by letter. If they have the correct information, as most collection agencies do, then a contact in writing would be the legal thing to do. I have no doubt that this is in error as I've been in Chapter 13 bankruptcy for four and a half years now and will be cleared in May of 2009. All my debts have been accounted for. Isn't there some way to stop this company which I've researched and found to be fraudulant more than factual.

Portfolio Recovery Collection Agency, they were told this was an ID theft. There are 6 accounts, open same day in 2010, man was tried and went to jail for theft. He was caught after 2 years, all were motified by email and us mail. Portfolio Recovery keep reporting it on her credit . We will file with all Government agencies including US Attorney. These people should be in jail the way they do many people.This was a GE Money account at Home Depot for $2410.I will post up dates on this as we are going after these crooks. Nationwide

They even say ,in small print, that, because of the age of this debt, they will not sue me, nor will they report it to any credit reporting agency, yet it does come up on my credit report and stopping me from getting a good score in order to get a house.
