Portofolio Recovery Associates ripoff Collection Agency Concord California

due to bad times of a store I sued to own, we fall behind on payments to advanta bank corp.. That was approx. $6,000.00. after some time had pasted, i made and arrgangement with portfoilo recovery to take $300.00 plus out of the store . that went on for 8 -10 months and i closed my business.

I recently sent them $3,500.00 certified check but too this date, i am still being shown by portfolio recovery as owing $6,000.00 plus. i had repeatly asked for a summary of my debts and they have not rsponded other than to get an attornye to take me to court. i have never denied owing money but i have not been getting credit for i have paid. this debt is being
reflected for the entire amount on my credit reports and having an effect on my credit. that is the whole complaint on this matter.

i have all the intentions of paying but they should be responsible for getting the correct amounts and reporting them correctly. we were supposed to go to court on this matter and i again asked for a status report on my account but did not receive any response. they did receive my certified check that was sent through their attorney's office.
