Power Plus Pumps It arrived broken Not my problem! Denver Colorado

I ordered what appeared to be a good koi pond pump system. The company required check payment - no credit cards. This should have been a warning. The pump arrived in ONLY 30 days - weeks after I needed it. When I opened the 60 pound box the pump inside was destroyed. The packing was woefully inadequate for such a heavy item - 3 small general purpose foam pads. The pump housing was broken, the motor fan cover crushed & the support base was in pieces. I called the company and was told any damage was between me and the carrier (DLH). I called DHL & they would not talk to me - only to the shipper. I called the seller back & once again the they told me they would not file a claim. After more calls to DHL I discovered the seller could assign the claim to me - which they did after a little coaxing - their ONLY act to help resolve a problem they caused. They never issued me a receipt - a requirement for the claim. I consider a receipt a basic requirement in a transaction but this seller does not seem to agree. Multiple e-mails were ignored. Phone calls were not returned. It was obvious they had no intention of helping me despite the fact that the damage was their fault (inadequate packing). To date the damage issue is not resolved. If you are considering buying from this company proceed at your own risk. From my experience, once your check is cashed you're on your own if anything goes wrong. This is by far my worst internet buying experience - over $600 down the drain.
