My apologies to anyone that may have dealt with these people since my incident. I only recently found a place to make a complaint that mattered. I called Precision Engine rebuilders to get a quote on having the motor in my 86 Shelby Charger Turbo rebuilt. I'd already called other businesses in town and was told prices that varied from $1500 to $1800; so when they said $1100.. I immediately took it to them. I told them I was going out of town on business and that they could take their time. Which they did, I stopped through town a couple of times paying on it as I could; and a few MONTHS later when I was told it was done, I asked what my balance was and all of a sudden my bill was over $1800 dollars. I round up the money to pay it off, and go to get it picked up. Only to find both of my door panels pulled back and the speakers removed from my doors. And a dent on the passenger side fender from what ever that had resting on the front end of the car to support the transmission while they pieced my motor back together. I drive away.. next day.. timing belt goes out. following day, battery goes out, then another timing belt, then the starter. By then I've got roughly 300 miles on my "rebuilt" engine; but am needing to return to FL for business. Car makes it to Tampa but started acting up about Kentucky. I call to have transportation meet me at a Dodge Dealer in Tampa(Jerry Ulm) where they need to go through the hacked up vaccuum lines, and replace misc peices that were left off by precision. To a sum of over $1200. Took them almost a week to get it running right. But they DO know their stuff. If anybody in IL chooses to let precision touch their vehicles; makes sure everything is well noted, dated, and documented.. and keep close tabs on everything they do. Aaron Midland City, Alabama
