If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.  That kept playing over and over in my head as I worked with Precision Lending Group about a secured $5000 loan.  Wish I had listened to my instincts!

I was contacted by Gina Decker with Precision Lending about a week ago concerning a personal, secured loan for $5000.  This came about after I was searching the internet for loans for people with bad credit.  After talking with her she assured me I was approved for the loan with an 8% interest rate through one of their investors.  I asked several questions and she had a legitimate answer for every one. Telling me time and time again I was approved and would receive the money. She faxed me the contract and I read over it, not once or twice but three times.  She told me I needed 5 months worth of payments to pay down and I would receive the $5000 in my account by today.  I searched the internet for negative reports on this company and came up with nothing so I thought all was ok.  I borrowed the $800 I needed from a friend and sent the money western union.

I checked my account this morning and as you can guess no deposit was made.  I called my bank to verify nothing was pending or showing that I couldn't see.  Nothing. I called my account rep, Gina, and she didn't answer the phone.  I left a message and did not receive a call back.  An hour later I left another message and then another.  Finally a "manager" by the name of Michael called me back.  He was hateful from the onset of the conversation.  I told him I had read on ripoff just today that someone had a similar experience and I want my money back.  I did not want to hear what other money they wanted because I wasn't going to pay another dime.  He informed me that it had gone for reassesment and that was in my contract that I "obviously didn't read".  I told him I had and how many times I had but apparently missed that part.  My mistake.  He told me the reps didn't have time to go over "every detail" of the contract.  I told him that was bull.  I had spoken with my rep several times and she could have taken 2 seconds to mention that.  Basically blasted me for basing my information on other people who don't read contracts and post on forums online. This man really pissed me off.  Just out of curiosity I asked how much more they were expecting and they wanted another $800 to secure the loan.

Supposedly I will get my money back January 22.  If I do not have it I will take this contract that he kept telling me I didn't read to an attorney. I read the contract again and item 9 is where it mentions the assesment.  It also states in that same paragraph that a refund will be given.  It states the money will be refunded and I want it back.  We will see.

If you read my previous post you would see that I was supposed to receive my money back on January 22nd.  Guess what, just as suspected January 22nd came and went and the money wasn't deposited in my account.  No surprise.  Well for s&g I checked the website that is on my contract, you guessed it, it's no longer there.  No surprise there either.  So, for further amusement I called the 800 number on my contract and low and behold, it's been disconnected!  Bet no one saw that coming, right?

Thankfully I did not hold out any false hopes on getting this money back.  I will contact all of the proper people and I will get on with my life.  Lesson learned.  The person that I borrowed the money from to secure this rip-off is a great friend and was completely understanding when I told him what happened to me.  It hurt me more to tell him about the situation than it did to get ripped off.  I will pay him back as much as I can, when I can.  Thank God for him and his understanding nature.

I don't see how the people who are running these scams can sleep at night and I told the "manager" and Ms. Gina Decker that very same thing.  I guess they are all thieves with no conscience.  Special place you-know-where for people like that.

Just out of curiosity I checked various websites such as switchboard, whitepages, and yellowpages.com for a listing on Precision Lending in Miami, Florida.  There is nothing found.  I looked up by the address and no business listed there either.  I asked Ms. Decker specifically on the phone the other day if they were listed as another name and she told me no.

I hope now that myself and two others have posted reports on ripoff that it will keep potential clients from falling for the same stuff we did.
