My sister made the unfortunate choice to use this so-called moving company for a move from San Diego to Houston, TX. On moving day, Aug 28, 2010 the original quote of $1700 was DOUBLED to $3400 and they demanded she pay in full on the spot..which she did reluctantly becuz she had no choice. When she arrived in TX her stuff was nowhere to be seen and they gave her the runaround time and time again and she was forced to sleep on the floor of her new place, with NOTHING. I had to send her a box of work clothes as she was starting a new job and thanks to Presto, had NOTHING. When the truck finally did show up at her place more than 10+ days late..on Sept. 16th, they demanded another $500 cash from her. Items were broken, etc. but they don't care becuz a) they dont have a current insurance policy and b) they dont even have a current interstate carrier license. It's a shame that these scammers have an A rating on the BBB website..cuz there isnt anything A+ about them except for being "A-holes". Please stay far away from this sham shady business and I will be telling everyone I know to read reviews like this before they choose any moving company in the future. SHAME ON YOU, PRESTO! all of the 'good reviews' on here must be fake or paid ads because they know what the truth really is.. scam scam and more scam.

I am paid extra $1200 to this Moving Comany/Presto Logistics moved my stuff from TX to FL, because they show up the moving day and tell me that I have too many extra things need to move.   Then, when it is time to deliver our stuff, they delate around 2 weeks from the date they suppose to delier, the excuse is the truck is break down need to fex and that is the only turck the company sent out, they have horriable customer service during the time dealing with our delivery, nomatter who is anser the phone, they did even return our calls to let us know where is our stuff and when is the time we can get our stuff back.  When the finanly we got our stuff back, there are so many broken stuff,   I turly wish there is nobody else have this kind of treatment during their moving experience with this company anymore,

Be Aware of This Company

AUTHOR: Nima - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 08, 2014

BE VERY CAREFUL AND PLEASE READ. HE WILL RIP YOU OFF. The man's name is David Fimbres. This guys has his act down to a T. He will tell you that everyone else sells their moving contracts but he won't. He will show you photos of his trucks and tell you that no one else will be involved. We hired him even though he was over $1,200 over the next bidder because we believed him. Like I said he sells it very well. He came and picked up the boxes and asked for half of the cost - "cash" - in advance.

We gave him the money. We were moving from L.A. to Spokane. He said it would be maximum of three weeks. Over a month later and after numerous calls, a completely different truck showed up from a different company. He had sold them the contract, exactly what he tells you he doesn't do. They of course asked for the other half of the money (in cash) immediately before they would unload the stuff. Almost every box was broken. Part of the agreement was to put the bed together upon arrival. None of what was promised happened.

The people that delivered it said their contract was with him and not with us and he was not told he had to do anything and he also is not responsible for broken dishes and furniture. As far as this new guy was concerned the damage was done on Mr, Fimbres' truck. We called Mr. Fimbres, and you guessed it, he never called us back. This company is his. The people that answer the phone are an answering service. He will paint a picture that he is running a legitimate company. It is all a front. Do not buy into his act. We did and paid the price. He also has put BBB certified on his card. Yet another lie. I called BBB and they have had nothing but complaints about him.

The man is a charlatan. Be aware. Be very aware.

Another Unhappy Customer/ Presto will say what you want to hear to take your money

AUTHOR: USARMYVETWIFE - ()

POSTED: Friday, July 26, 2013

I want to say I am another customer who was moving from TX to NJ. My items were picked up on delivery date and on time. But we also were given an additional $1400 saying the items wont all fit on the truck. But keep in mind they pack them, So as I watched them the items could have fit. Also stated in the contract our items were to be deliveried in a timely manner well to this day I am still waiting for my items. We have to call them to find out about when/where the truck is. Also they do not take credit cards so you can not dispute it with your credit card company. Also they do sublet thier work out as I have found an add on Craigslist lookin for movers with our delivery mans cell number. Which honestly is not safe for anyone, meaning no background checks nothing.  Please use another company dont make the same mistake we did.

Presto is straight Forward and Honest!

AUTHOR: Zak T - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, November 13, 2010

To Whoever may be reading this irate report from someone who is obviously perturbed about her hike in price; please hear a more rational account now.

I was the driver for this shipment. As far as the hike in price at pickup, well, i dont really have much to do with that but from the paperwork that i've seen; it seems that there were many more items than were listed on initial estimate. Noelle was provided with a revised visual estimate before her move was commenced and all papers were signed by her allowing the foreman to commence the work.

On delivery; the tractor trailer that is used for long haul deliveries could not make it into the complex because there was a very narrow gateway and posts that were impeding every attempt at getting this huge 53 foot trailer inside. At that point there was really only two options. 1. For Noelle to go get her own truck from uhaul and we would release it to her on that truck with no further charges. Or 2. We would provide a shuttle service(which is a POST Contract service as clearly listed on her paperwork.) Her shuttle fee was actually minimal. It was $350.00 after a discount and when she finally agreed to this and we went off and rented the truck and transferred the goods; we realized there were about 4 flights of stairs. Again, this is a post contract service clearly stated on every customer's paperwork. This fee should have been $225.00. There is one flight free and every additional is $75.00. We rounded the whole extra service to $500.00. For the record; The truck rental with fuel and commercial insurance cost about $200. Labor cost another Approx. $300.(maybe there was a little left over) As You can see These were discounted charges to cover our expenses.

All I'm trying to show here is that the report given by this customer is obviously leaving out the details. Nobody at Presto Logistics will ever ask for a dime extra than what is contracted. Bear in mind please...Im a driver...when there are additional services required there usually tied to additional costs that someone must pay. Also this is an optional service...we offered customer to get her own truck and hire here own labor to perhaps save her some money...she opted to take our service and pay the price.

I feel inclined to write this rebuttal to set the record straight. I work for a company that is honest and straight forward with its clients and drivers that are courteous and communicative with customers until the job is done. I do sympathize with Noelle for the hike in the price but that is no excuse for her to trash our company with no further explanation.

Please Consider this rebuttal as "the rest of the story", that Noelle Conveniently left out to suit her cause.

GOOD DAY!
