I placed an ad for a nanny, in long Island NY. A female responded in any case after several attempts to meet I found someone else. The woman had my name and cell phone number as contact information. She gave it to someone at Primerica this person has been calling me for months now asking me to attend the meetings. I've done my best to be polite and non-dismissive but come on. I have three kids and a full time professional job why would you continue to call if I haven't come to the meetings..
Why do you people harrass people I never gave you permission to call me about your business apparently the potential nanny works for Primerica and gave my name to this Mr. Butera. I don't have the time for other obligations or the need for part time insurance sales-- I am a full time legal professional.
Year ago I went to a Primerica meeting in Flushing I must have been 19 years old and I could smell a scam back then so I left the meeting. All I needed to hear was money up front to get a job and I was outta there. Trust me there are no quick fixes to owning your own business... just go out there and work hard and if I sounds to good to be true or vague like It probably is.
In any case like clockwork I still get the calls every wed and friday before their meetings and I say oh I don't know don;t think I can make it. I sleep late I live far. You know they've told me about their trips to Atlantic City that they take their reps to .. then the other night I was watching tv and the Quickstar thing came on... Scam Scam Scam...
Well good luck and watch out for the scams... wonder why Citigroup even affiliates with such a company knowing that it's an Amway waiting to happen????

With all due respect, you claim to be a legal professional, but can't be direct? Be direct my friend. There not going to get upset. But you are giving them permission to follow-up by making excuses. How does being persistent with permission make that a scam? We are, like yourself a professional. We have the same licenses required as any other major financial institution. Unless the NASD, SEC, Dept of Insurance, Consumer Finance Laws, relating to Real Estate Lending are fraudulent, then I guess we are. But they are not. We may have different methods, but that does not make us a scam, uneducated, or unintelligent. Please consider all the facts before you form an opinion. You of all people should know tha.

Betty,
Are you on the national Do Not Call list? If you are not, sign up immediately. If you are, contact your state Attorney General's office and inform them that you are being solicited constantly by Primerica. They, along with all other financial companies, are prohibited from calling individuals at home to sell their services.
