I bid three times on an item and received outbid notices for all three bids. I then went on Ebay and bought the same item. Later that night I receive a notice stating that I won the item after I was outbid. Now they say the outbid notices are a courtesy and are not guaranteed and they are still want me to buy the item. They have to be bidding up the items themselves and when everyone stops bidding they retract their last bid and tell the person that got outbid by them they now won it.
