Pro movers .biz AKA: Movers For Less .biz Florida Craigslist Moving Company can legally scam you out of your money, or hold your furniture HOSTAGE Internet

This company goes by several different names, no wonder why.

In a nutshell, I called and spoke to a man named Ray, who told me that I would need 4 guys (because of my baby grand piano) @$90/hr.

Since we were doing all the packing and even moving all the small stuff, they would be left with just the furniture.  I was told that the piano would be an addl charge of $100, but that it would only be 4-5 hours, since we only lived 4 miles from the new location. Total cost being around $550-$650

Their advertising clearly states "no hidden costs"

Only 3 guys came. By the time they were almost done, we were getting charged 12 hours and $450 in overages, and they didn't even move all of the furniture!

Strategically, they moved my baby grand last and left it on the truck. The main guy, Came in to "do the paperwork", while charging me for him to sit and discuss the payment (while the other 2 guys continued working).  When I refused to pay the $1360, he said he would not remove the piano. After calling his boss, he said the same thing.  I told him to take the piano and I would call the police. The boss said go ahead and tell the guys to stay so the police can hear our side of the story.

They waited another hour (I told the police it wasn't an emergency, to come when they could).  Meanwhile they were "charging us" the hourly rate while they slept in their truck waiting in the police. 

The police said, "These guys are scammers, but since I didn't get the contract "in writing", he could do nothing, but suggested that I go to court to get some of my money back.

Which is EXACTLY what I intend to do.  I may not win much, but they need to stop doing this to other people!  We ended up paying over $1500 that night to get our piano back.  What about those people that didn't have that much in their account (after thinking it would only be $650???
