I worked for this temporary service in san antonio, texas, and i was working for the wal-mart at 16503 nacogdoches rd. in san antonio, texas. I filed a complaint against a black female for sexual harassment, and assault (filed a police report for this one) after I filed the complaint with this temp service, the next day they let me go.

I have since filed a lawsuit against them with the EEOC. They did not like that. And according to their brochure they give you when they hire you, they do not put up with harassment, sexual harassment, or any other kind of game playing, which they say is a firing offense. They did not follow proper procedure according to the EEOC, and now they are going to pay!

If anybody else was terminated like this, or similar to this, i suggest you contact the EEOC, because they will be your lawyer if you have a good case. The two women that let me go are: manager-leslie, and sarah ortiz-senior staffing rep. Do not work for this place or for wal-mart.

Active employee

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 24, 2006

You are called an "active" employee because you are active in their system as available for work and acceptable to be sent on jobs for which you are a good match. It's a temp agency, your employment status is described with different terminology than a regular job. Anybody needing to verify your employment, like courts or landlord or creditors, will only consider the days you've been out on assignment. If they are not sending you on jobs, it is because they have better "active" employees for the positions available.

Don't forget you are competing with other candidates for these jobs. And they do consider your performance and attitude on jobs they have sent you on. There are likely other active employees who have proven themselves to be outstanding in attitude and dependability.

Dear livonia michigan

It is one thing for a company to keep you employed, but to say that you are still an active employee is another thing. Being an active employee, means they are still sending you to work, and i have not gone out to work since my termination. like i said, i was terminated on august 22, 2006 and have not gone out to work since then. This company prologistix says and i quote " he is still an active employee" if that is the case, why have they not sent me to work since then??????? I have contacted them on several occasions after my "termination" letting them know that i am "still" available to go to work. Now they are telling the EEOC that i have not contacted them to let them know that i am still available. I had my niece, who by the way is a police officer here in my town that was with me when i told them. That was just one occasion. Everytime i would call to let them know, the receptionist would tell me that the manager was not there, and that she would give them the message. And to this day, have not gone out to work yet!!!!!!!!!!!

EEOC are helpful.

John's right, if anybody has been terminated at any time for the sole reason of making a proper complaint about harrassment, they should contact a lawyer.

Pam's addition to this is worrisome. An employer can fire you for being slow. It may not be your fault that you are slow, but that doesn't change the fact that the company can ask for a better temp.

And it is normal that someone from the temp agency was the one to fire you. You were an employee of the temp agency. The company that sent for a temp definitely do not want to deal with hiring and firing and confrontation. Can't blame them. The "written documentation" you have is meaningless, it's just that company saying "as far as I know you're still working here".

I Was Also Fired From a Temp Agency Last Week Under Similar Circumstances

AUTHOR: Pam - (Georgia)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 29, 2006

I was suddenly terminated from my temporary job last Friday, after the Manager complained to the Agency I worked for that I wasn't meeting his company's daily productivity quotas (and which I was not aware they had any, as one of the supervisors told me on the first day there "wasn't any".

Never mind that my training for the quotas he was complaining about didn't even begin until two days before I was let go. I knew I had been set up when I arrived for work Friday morning and found said Manager MIA. Two hours later the Agency called and told me I had to leave, despite the fact I had WRITTEN documentation from this guy approving my new work and training schedule!

It's amazing what employers will do, in order to cover up their OWN incompetence!

Good luck to you.

I would stay in your mother's basement where it's safe!

C'mon, Richard - you posted this same rant last week, only then it was against Wal-Mart.

So who REALLY wronged you this time? The temp agency? Wal-Mart? Or was it one of the three San Antonio area Holiday Inns you got fired from and then rushed here to bash them on-line.

Maybe it was the grocery store, what was it? HEB? I forgot what they did to you.....I'm sure it was heinous.

Have you ever been anywhere where they weren't all out to get you? Personally, I would stay in your mother's basement where it's safe!
