i took it november 21 2008 for an oil change,about 1 hour later the sevice center calls me and asked if im aware that the tire monitor sensors are malfuntioning,about 1 hour later im contacted again , there asking me if i ever have had any work done on the sensors, i said no"i dont even know were there located",then im asked were i bought it i told them at quality the one down the street.then at that time the service guy tells me that my sensors are missing, replacement sensors cost close to $500.
i went down to the place my mom bought the truck from and stood in front of the custumer service desk for about 20 mins without being helped by any one.if you dont belive me check the security tape, i even bought me a drink and almost finished it waiting to be helped.i finally taked with the salesman my mom bought it from, he sell's cars but doesn't know what a tire pressure system does, he tell's me oh its an option your truck doesn't have it,
i told him well the man at the chevrolet dealership showed me and its a standard feature on these trucks,even the 15,000 dollar work truck has it, i was sold a truck and was ripped off,the tire sensors magiclly came off the inside of the tires ,when it was sitting at there lot,the least they could do is have them installed at no cost to me, after all they should make sure everything there selling is 100%,after all it is the quality dealership right? my mom has bought cars,suv's,trucks.from this salesman for the last 10 years now,i trusted that i was getting a truck fully funtional.
im going to see him later this week,if nothing changes,im going to make sure my family relationship for 10 years ends, like i said its a standard feature why wont they correct an ispection misstake they over looked when they took this truck in from the last owner, just to help you understand the way i feel right now,let me give you an example,lets say i owe you 100 dollars i hand you a stack of bills,the top bill is a 20 dollar bill so you assume the rest are also 20's i walk a way then you look at the rest and there all 1's.
how stupid are you going to feel,then u go and ask me for the rest and i say well i gave u five 20 dollar bills,i dont know what u did when u put that money in your pocket,thats pretty much how i fell about my tire pressure monitoring system,magically disappiering from inside the tire,anyone knows how i can get the dealership to listen to me.
