We have had the worst experience with this window contractor called Quality Windows and Doors of Van Nuys.
After spending approximately $12000, we are wondering what "quality windows" means? Our experience with this company showed no quality workmanship or professionalism. They don't even know how to install windows properly. They put together two windows for us and the windows weren't even straight or aligned evenly because we believe they mis-measured the window frame. Later, we got advice from several other window companies who told us that this window was supposed to be a one-piece window, not a two-piece! At the same time, we had them put in a sliding glass door but they didn't even know how to install it correctly so when it rains, lots of water leaks into our home.
Whenever we called them with a problem or to show them the leaks, they would come out but they always had an excuse which put the blame on us instead of admitting it was their fault, and that way they could always avoid doing any repairs for us. The last time they came out, they told us that the leaks were due to a problem with our roof, so after hiring a roofer and spending $1400, we found out that the roof was not the problem after all.
Then, they came out again to try and fix the defective windows instead of replacing them. They put the scaffolding together for our 2-story house and they broke the stucco all around the windows. After that, they have never come back to finish repairs to the window and the stucco around the window was never put back. That was more than 2 months ago and the scaffolding is still there! After the scaffolding stayed there for the 2 months, they sneakily came over to our house to take back their scaffolding without doing the repairs.
This is a very irresponsible company. They don't even know what they are doing!
We would never recommend this company to our friends or the people we know, or even to people we don't know!
