Rainbow Palace Ripoff Hotel Bed Bug Infestation, No sign of management solving problem no compensation for night spent as a feast to many many hungry bed bugs Amsterdam, Netherlands

On a stay at the Rainbow Palace in Amsterdam, I was attacked by an infestation of Bed Bugs. I awoke around 2am and found at least a dozen or more Bed Bugs just under the sheets next to my leg, then more just under my pillow. I spent the rest of the night wandering the streets of Amsterdam affraid to go back to the bed bug buffet.

When I checked out of the hotel I informed the manager that the room was infested with bed bugs. He claimed they came in from the outside through an unscreened open window, the only relief in a sweltering hotel. Besides, bed bugs do not live outside. Anyway I left frustrated but simply wanting to get out of there.

I don't know what recourse I have. I also wish I had taken a few pictures of the bugs and the room but was too freaked out to even be in the room. Upon returning home I spent time and money insuring that my clothing and lugage did not carry any unwanted travelers. I have numerous swollen bites all over my body and will be going to a doctor tomorrow for some type of relief as I am itching and making the wounds worse.

Do not stay at the Rainbow Palace in Amsterdam.
