The website called Realself (realself.com) is not a real plastic surgery forum where people can post true experiences. They selective allow only certain types of posting. This site is for doctors to promote their practices and services. Doctors on there sites may not be truthful in answering questions. I tried to post the truth about what happen to my face, and each time it got removed. The doctor who mutilated my face is on this site. Doctors paid a fee montly to be on this site. If the doctor asks the moderator to remove your comment, then they do it.
The best place to tell the truth is ripoff report or complaints report where comments cannot be filtered.
Don't let realself or any other forums fool you in thinking it serves the patients interest. It serve only the doctors interest. Don't get sucker into any procedures by any doctors on this site. The doctor that multated my face is on realself.com day and nite. How he ever have the time to better his skills.

Real Self manipulates information to hide patient dissatisfaction

What the original person said here is true - Real Self selects which comments and reviews they allow to be shown on the site and will block users who are speaking out about the doctors or about Real Self removing content from the site. Doctors who advertise on Real Self lurk on the site daily and appear to report comments to the Real Self community that they want removed and/or users they want blocked. There are also friends and employees of the doctor that have accounts on the site and area allowed to openly attack anyone who tries to post negative comments about their experience - they are allowed to bully and say things that Real Self will not allow regular users to say.
Real Self is NOT an unbiased site (as they say they are)- it's controlled information and fake reviews to create the illusion of a doctor's success in order to get you to book a surgery with certain doctors. Do not choose your doctor based on the "reviews" on this site. It is paid advertising only.
