This is a warning to anybody living in the St. Louis area that has been thinking about working at Realtime Results llc. They are a third party company to AT&T. At Realtime Results you will be processing orders for AT&T. The sales reps at the AT&T wireless stores will put these orders in a web portal which is linked to a call center (where you will be working) and you will receive the order through your computer and begin processing the order. You will receive a phone call from the sales rep and they will stay with you on the phone until your done processing the order. If your not processing orders, then you will be put in a phone que where you will be taking calls from pissed off reps whose orders have not been completed for whatever reason.

There are three different call center locations in St. louis (South County, and 2 in the Westport area) and each has their own way of doing things.

First off, if you have seen their job ad in newspapers and websites, do not apply to this horrible company. Chances are if you are looking for work in the customer service/call center industry, you have probably seen their many job postings as they have a high turnover rate. If you have already set up an interview and are looking for some research on the company, run the other way!, and fast.

Let me give you some info on how this place is ran and the reasons why you do not want to work for this company.

Reason#1 - The Management

The managers at Realtime Results are all fake and demand unfair production out of you. Realtime Results does not sell anything but yet they want these stupid production goals met and if you don't you will not be liked very well, your schedule will change, and you will not be considered for any advancement. Calls come in and you have no control of how many calls come in and who gets the calls, also if a sale is not completed which happens all the time(i.e. bad credit, customer changed their mind etc.), it will reflect negative on you. Also the managers get away with everything and the customer rep is usually the one that gets all the grunt. There is no support for the 15 different software systems that you will be using and the managers don't care (they don't even know the systems themsleves, they get promoted behind closed doors and simply because they are liked) The managers also never have to work the hours they don't want to, you might be stuck on a late night shift and there will be no managers there. The only thing the managers care about is just that you get on those phones and make things happen without their support, knowledge etc. Whatever good you have done in the past or recently, doesn't mean squat. They rarely reward you for anything.

Reason#2 - Your Schedule

Your schedule will fluctuate constantly no matter what is promised to you. They use the excuse that its based on business needs, when in fact its actually because they never know how to schedule anybody and they always make mistakes when making out the schedule. Your shift also changes without notice, one day you might work a 9-6 shift and you'll come in just to be shocked that you were supposed to come in at 8. They also do not care if you have children, school, church, ill family members etc. The company does offer vacation, sick, and holiday but you are hardly ever granted the days you want off. Your best bet is to call in just to get the days you want off.

Reason#3 - No Support

Like i said earlier there 15 different software systems that you will be using and they all mess up or have bugs in them that need to be kinked out constantly. There is no on-staff IT dept. and the managers don't have a clue about them. If you get stuck on something you have to constantly rely on your co-workers to help you. Anytime you need help and ask a manager, they just get mad and tell you to ask somebody else. Like i said before, its all about production, production, production. I have witnessed many problems in the company and if you email your supervisor, nothing is hardly ever done about any problem you might have.

Reason#4 - Favoritism

This is probably one of the most annoying things I experienced there. All of the managers that were promoted have been promoted simply because they were like (one manager was even promoted just because a family member died and they felt sorry for her, she didn't even have manager skills and she knew didley squat about the AT&T software systems) Basically if you are not one the "originals" meaning that you were there at the beginning (the company is not even 3 years old) you will be treated differently. Certain people get to take lunches and breaks whenever they want, certain people get away with things, certain people get promoted, certain people get to park where ever they want and on and on.

Reason#5 - Constant Change

One day you might be your normal job that you applied for and then the next you will be doing something totally different like picking up cigarette butts, going over 70 orders just to see if certain numbers match up like account numbers, pricing etc. They basically think that you are their puppet and they pull your strings and you should do whatever they want. Software and procedures constantly change too and all they do is send out an email and expect you to get it immediately. Every little thing changes every day and then sometimes they go back to the way they were before because somebody didn't know something.

This is just a little warning for somebody who has ran by their job ad or somebody who wants a little background info on the company. Myself and many others have all experienced what a horrible place this is to work for and you will be stressed out everyday. There is also a lot of other things that I didn't mention that goes on there like discrimination, workplace retaliation, harassment, not letting people complete their 2 weeks when they leave, paychecks are always short changed, etc.

This is the most ridiculous, unprofessional, non-supportive, favoritism induced, horribly ran place of business that I have ever worked for. Your better off working for somebody like Mertiz or Convergys, those companies are stable and are in better hands than Realtime Results llc.
