Alyon Technologies fraudulent ripoff victimized many consumers Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
Fraudulent web content sexual smut provider illegal account creation ..... A company called Alyon Technologies Inc with an address in Norcross Georgia is providing pornography over the Internet and is using the law to do it. They are bumping up against the edge of the (Telephone Disclosure and Dispute Resolution Act), the TDDRA and are acting as a delivery agent for the most unethical and immoral scheme I have seen in a long time. They have no physical address, operate only out of a PO Box, have only an 800 number (800-379-0239) which plays a message and hangs up on you. They operate only by automatic website (www.Alyon.net) which does not accept disputes through email and only auto responds with a deliberately lengthy and complicated dispute process , none of which is required by law or in my opinion , enforceable .Their clients and services are the pornography industry, they have no online protection against content unsuited for minors, and in fact state it is up to the consumer to proactively decline their services, by declining through net protection software. They insist they scheme is legal under several laws and regulations, I however believe if they were investigated thoroughly you would find, in fact they are not. How can we make the net safer when organizations such as these prey upon our children? The fact that a child can click Accept, in their opinion relieves them from any obligation under the law to determine the age of the viewer. They offer a free download, which then installs a dialer program to your computer (containing pornography and expletives). The program in turn then dials long distance into a proprietary server. Once the long distance call is complete, it then appears as if they use an 800 number trunk line and a caller ID program to bill outrageous per minute charges back to the consumer, for pay per viewing of their content. If a minor child (as in my case) performs all of this, the law is circumvented, a child is exposed, and you get a bill at about $5.00 per minute and an Invoice as well as your normal long distance bill. In effect they are circumventing regulations pertaining to long distance service and prey on unsuspecting consumers with high dollar charges. If this is not illegal, it should be. It sure ticks me off. They do not file legitimate reports with the SEC and are most likely a sham business, or may be a shell operated by a criminal enterprise. Michael Calhoun, GeorgiaU.S.A.

I received a bill from Alyon Technologies on Nov.12,2002 for $151.59 due on Nov. 16. I called 800 number to find out what it was. Adult web site that my computer supposedly dialed. No way did it happen. I then get another bill Dec. 12 that my bill is delinquent. I have contacted my phone company which had never heard of this happening. I have contacted my attorney who told me not to pay it. They threatened to turn it over to a collection agency. My lawyer said to tell them I would sue them if they did. I have tried to call the 800 number again which doesn't seem to work anymore. I tried to contact their internet address which has now disappeared. Seems like the guilty always try to run & hide. They will eventually get caught. Hopefully before anyone else gets ripped off. After reading all your other reports it seemed awfully strange to me that my bill was the same as 3 others that have also reported to you. Mary Mexico, IndianaU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies ripoff deception to a fine art Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
Alyon Technologies are the masters at deceptive tactics fleecing the internet user. An adult site pops up on the screen while your on line, and the next thing you know you really ARE screwed. I got a bill for $l5l.00 saying I had AGREED to their terms and conditions, and that their connection process is designed to prevent connections made in error. That is a blatant lie. The financial part of the agreement on this website is not even visible on the screen when you hit the I AGREE button. It is conceiled in small print you can only find by scrolling down to locate it. It deceptively appears as if you are agreeing you are l8 or older or agreeing to download a device that allows you to utilize their website, not agreeing to pay money to use it. I am now in a seemingly endless process of disputing their bill and jumping through endless hoops to get them to even consider my dispute. These tactics used by slimeballs like these are a black eye to the American people, (censored)and dishonest to the core. I now have a international call blocker on my phone and won't be taken by them again, but these deceptive practices must be stopped. Bill Heartland of America, OklahomaU.S.A.

I received a bill in the mail from Aylon Technologies, whom I have never heard of ! I never ordered any services from them! They billed to my business FAX number for an adult site!! I can`t believe it! How did they do this?? I`m so afraid they will keep sending me bills now that they got ahold of my fax number! How do I stop them? I know i am not the only person this has happened to. I tried contacting them at the website, finally emailed them, but have not heard back. I tried first calling their 800 number, but they only have a recording telling you to go to their website, won`t let you talk to anyone! I am sending a letter to them of complaint, and letting them know I filed this rip-off report, hopefully this will help. They said if I don`t pay the bill, they will send it to a collection agency!! What can we consumers do? Julie Green Bay, WisconsinU.S.A.

Alyon technologies, Inc. sent me a bill of $172.00. We have never heard of this company, nor did we use the sites they are accusing us of. No one in my household ever entered any adult website. This company is deceptive, and needs to be shut down immediately. They are billing hundreds of people illegally, and I will not pay for something I did not do. This place is a censored, they are saying we accepted terms and conditions to get into there site, which is a complete LIE. This is complete fraud, I will NOT pay, and I WILL report them. To top if off the customer service at this shaddy place is horrible, unprofessional, and there is no location (only a P.O. Box). What a company!!!!!! Nancy San Rafael, CaliforniaU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies consumer fraud ripoff Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
I was hit with the deceptive business practices of Alyon Technologies. On Dec 11, 2002, I received a spam e-mail from Alyon Technologies. When I openned it, it took me to an adult site. This adult site installed, without my permission, a dialer. This dialer started to run in the background and disconnected me from my ISP. The dialer then proceeded to connect me to a number in Union City, NJ. When the dialer disconnected me from muy ISP, I thought my ISP had dropped the line (this happens sometimes) and reconnected me. Because I thought it was my ISP dropping the line, I did no make a big deal out of it. When all this happened, Alyon's web page never showed me that the dialer was about to use a per-minute phone number. In fact the web page never explicitly showed me that it was going to disconnect me. A few days later I received a bill for $15.88. Although, I feel lucky that my bill is low because I disconnected quickly (only 3 minutes), I still think that this charge should not take place. Alyon Technologies should be stopped! I never explicitly told Alyon to connect to a per-minute charge number. I will never pay them for this!!!! P.S. Alyon Technologies makes is hard for the user to remove the dialer. Alyon does no use the standard installation process. Because of this, the user will NOT see the dialer in the list of installed software in the sytem. I found the dialer in the WIN32 directory of my system. Alyon Technologies should be prosecuted for going inside my WIN32 system directory without my permission. Juan Bradenton, FloridaU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies ripoff deceptive company Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
I unwittingly became aware that a minor/family member had been accessing their website when suppose to be doing homework research. I have since fixed this mistake with him. But Alyon, thinks they are going to collect the sum of almost $1000.00 from me for his access to their website. They also stated that I must give them the name of the minor who was using their site, I think not, you (censored) bastards, why, so you can continue to harrass minors who illegally access their site, I think not. I have filed complaints with everyone! Coincidentally, A Det. Cheek from the Gwinnett County Police Dept. said he physically investigated their facilities, due to the complaints from the Internet Fraud Complaint Center, and said he saw nothing that appeared illegal. I became very irrate. I sent him the info from the FTC website about the other similar crimes. If the FTC files charges, then there is a crime, I don't know why he made his comments, I still haven't heard from him since mailing, and emailing all the information. This fraud is not new, and will continue to be a problem, due in part, to the spineless politicians that we have elected to office. So go ahead, keep voting for them! Oh, by the way, go ahead and OK another raise for them, while congress considers doing-away with your right to discharge credit card and other debts (some fraud) from chapter seven bk. You haven't heard of this because of the big big big money being thrown their way by many many cc/automotve/& other businesses that offer credit terms to the public. As for Alyon Tech, they will not see a dime from me, the only correspondece they will get, if they continue with this, is a subpoena from my local courthouse for a civil complaint. I received a bill for $132.33 from Alyon Technologies. They gave me a so called account number claiming I used their sevices. It took me a while to figure out that it was for some kind of 'adult' viewing or phone sex or the like. Asking some far more computer savy friends, I learned it is technically possible to gain remote access to a computer and also learned that I could have been tricked into downloading something inadvertantly. Sometime these things hide behind pop ups. I also learned that since I have a cable modem there is no way of a dial up and when I checked my phone bill there is no charge for a long distance call. I sent two emails to their customer-support address, in protest but no response. Also, their phone number was unanswerable. This company has caused me considerable distress. Since I suffor from serious high blood pressure, I am even more distressed in disputing their phony claim. I have already received a second notification from them tho they falsly claim they have made numerous attempts to contact me. This second notification contains a serious threat. Of course I refuse to pay any such (censored)bill. Richard Tucson, ArizonaU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies malicious organized rip-off Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
All the other complaints describe the Alyon rip-off that happened to me, also. I say this is an organized, malicious rip-off because we have firewalls, pop-not software, etc. on our home computer and yet Alyon was still able to infiltrate our home computer to say we ran up a bill using their service to the tune of over $100. So you see they must be on the cutting edge of technology and investing lots of resources in developing ways around the protections placed on home computers in order to bypass all these protections to get in. Separate from the issue of Alyon getting into our compuer, the phone number they billed this charge to is our dedicated fax line. We have a cable internet modum and none of our home phones are able to be used for internet access, yet they claim we did ths. Alyon will only deal with your complaint via e-mail & phone if the charge is under $100. They charged us $101, so we have to go through their exagerated rigamarole to have these charges removed. Is some public servant/political bigwig in Georgia in on this or getting kickbacks such that they will not shut Alyon down or investigate them? Or do we have to get all 50 Attorney Generals in all 50 states go after them? Victoria Monroeville (just outside Pittsburgh), PennsylvaniaU.S.A.

While visiting various on-line sites, as I do daily, a pop-up box appeared for this adult website. When I tried to leave, it wouldn't let me. After a lot of time messing around trying to get rid of it, it finally disappeared. Now, they have sent me a bill for $151.59 for premium web content - adult stating I must pay in full within two weeks! This is an absolute outrage! I have found many disputes against this company, and welcome any assistance and/or experience anyone may have on how to bring this company down and how I can get out of this bill.
