American Credit Solutions ripoff dishonest fraudulent money stealing misleading unintelligent stupid persons Tampa Florida
I received a card in the mail stating I had not had my credit card activated.I had not applied for a card from this company,so I called them to see what was going on. I was afraid they had sent a card out with my name on it to someone else. I didn't want to get stuck like that. Little did I know that was what was going on anyway. The lady I talked with told me I would be receiving 100 rolls of 35mm film in the mail.I thought that was strange. Debbie Christiansburg, Virginia

American Credit Solutions ripoff waste of time & money, deceptive company Tampa Florida
I was under the impression I would be getting a banking card with which to do transfer balances, so after giving this company my SSN and banking number, I got a product catalog to order merchandise. I ordered product October 29, using a money order to supposedly assure me of faster processing, but as of December 19, have received nothing. I've called several times but get brushed off saying to call in a couple of days. But now I call the same number and get put on hold for 30+ minutes with an irritating repetitive message to send inquiries to a particular address. I have sent a letter to them but have no confidence there will be a reponse. I'm anticipating eating the $199.95, plus down payment. I will probably have to change my bank account number, at great inconvenience to me! Jane Orange, CaliforniaU.S.A.

American Credit Solutions Took money with nothing in return Tampa Florida
I was told I was approved for credit, it would cost me a one time fee of $199.99. They deducted the amount from my account in October. I had not received anything in November and called again. They said they sent out another package. I called again in the beginning of December and was told it should arrive soon. Now two weeks later, still no package, and now no answer at the company. I have yet to see a refund of my $199.99. Mary Jo Dearborn Heights, MichiganU.S.A.

American Credit Solutions ripoff business from hell Tampa Florida
My mom contacted this company as a means to pay off her smaller credit cards. It was her understanding that once she paid her 195.95 she would recieve her new card. But when she recieved her card she found out it was not a regular credit card but had to use it towards thier merchandise only. When she contacted them to cancel and get her money returned they told her she was not eligible because she had agreed to everything they had said on the phone, when we explained that we did not fully understand the woman on the phone because she did not speak very good english they told us that was not a good enough excuse to have her money returned. So we said just to cancel the card any way and she would just be out the 195.95 and he still refused. I don't know how these people can legaly get away with this no papers were ever signed and no merchandise was ordered. I just hope by me writing this no one else will be swindled by this company. I received a notification in the mail stating that I had been approved for a credit limit of $4,000.00 and need to call 800-564-2517, toll free number to activate my card. I spoke with a woman who stated her name was Amy Gentler and she also gave me another phone number 866-411-1092 and told me that if I need to call about my account to call that number. I eventually decided after a debit was taken from my checking account and I had not received any further information about this company, to investigate and find out if this was a scam. It apprears to be a scam, and as a result I am filing this report. Ruthie Saint Louis Park, Minnesota

American Credit Solutions ripoff fakes Tampa Florida
My Husband got a flyer in the mail about this company. As he was on the phone talking to these people I looked up the company on the web. Upon opening the REAL American Credit Solutions web-page I found a notice on the page that stated theat they are not a credit card company. But that there is an entity that is impersonating their company. Looking further into it I found the reports on this page and I advised my husband that he should disconnect the call. However, he told the manager that he was speaking with, that he thought they were a fraud. The manager on the phone denied any knowledge of the accusationsand refised to tell my husband what type of credit card he was getting at this point the guy laughed and transferred him to another manager. At that time my husband hung up on the man. We had the same offer as everyone else. $4000.00 credit limit on an Unsecured Platinum Card, with an approval already. Just go's to show you that you should check out these things first. Thelma Temperanceville, Virginia

I received the same yellow card from this bogus company two days ago. I really need some extra money, and I admit I've been trying to call the 1-888 number on the card since I got it, only to get a busy signal or a recording saying their closed, even during hours of operation. I decided to look up the web site and thankfully found these horror stories about people who actually got through to this company and lost their money. I feel so bad for those who were ripped off, and I thank God I found out the truth before I gave this company my personal information. The old saying, If it's too good to be true, it usually is, certainly holds true in this case. Thank you for your time and attention. Misti Fort Smith, Arkansas

American Credit Solutions dirty SOB ripoff scam liars Tampa Florida *Associate Editor's Comment
ACS ripoff business that the BBB should get ahold of ..... I received a Credit Approval Notification card in the mail saying I was approved for a credit card with a $4000.00 limit, call 1 888-817-4795 for immediate activation. So I called and talked to a lady and she said it was going to cost $199.95 because this was an unsecured credit card. Because my credit status is not real good, I thought this would be a good way to re-establish my credit. I gave my account # and authorised the company to withdraw the amout needed. Then I spacificaly asked what kind of credit card this is, and she says well actually you will be receiving 2 cards. One is an unsecured Visa with a limit of $4000.00, and the other is a platnum company card, where you can order off the web site or out of the magizine they send. After waiting 3 1/2 weeks for my card, a package finaly came in the mail containing a 500 page magizine, which all 500 pages were covered with things that looked so cheap the magizine editor couldnt even make them look decent, and some at out ragous prices. So yesterday I called ACS back and told this *** **** that I didnt receive what this lady had promised, he put me on hold for about 10 minuets and then had to put me on hold again for anouther 10 or 15 minuets then came back on and says, well all I can tell you is to call back in a week or two and request a recording of the taped conversation where the lady named Karen by the way told you that you would receive a Visa with a credit line of $4000.00, well that is when I knew I had been had, because I never told that guy that she had said it was a VISA with a credit line of $4000.00. So now I am out $200.00, and dont know where I am going to start on getting my money back, but I will, I can tell you that. I am not going to let the no good bloodsucking lying bastards take my money and keep it. If anyone knows how to help,,, HELP!! I recieved a card in the mail stating that I had not activated my credit card and was being given a credit limit of $4000.00. I was given a number to call, which I did. I gave all my bank information but told the customer rep I would not be able to pay them for two weeks. After talking this over with my wife, I changed my mind about recieving the credit card. I tried to call the special phone number that was given to me in case I had any problems(866-411-1992), but the number is not in service. I have tried to call the activation number, but all I get is a busy signal. If you can't talk to anyone at a credit company, you don't want to do business with them. Kenneth Newark, New Jersey

American Credit Solutions ripoff and misrepresentation Tampa Florida
I received a post card in the mail and I contacted the number and reached Abigail and she explained that I was receiving a Visa Card. I made sure I asked her if it was a Visa Card and was Cash Advance available on this card. I thought I was paying for my fees upfront. Therefore, when I received the package, I was in shock. I contacted Customer Service and was explained that I had to wait 5-7 Business Days until the tape is listen to see if I was telling the truth. I contacted them on the seven business day and was told to call back tomorrow. The next day I call and Mike#326 said that the results was not in and I then demanded a resolution and that I was not waiting another day. He put me on hold came back and told me that she did misrepresented the company. He gave me RAN# and I returned the package as is and was instructed to fax a copy of mail receipt. This is the only way they know that I mailed the package. I was put through a lot of red tape to get my money returned. I still do not have my money as of yet. I am still mad that the Customer Rep Abigail told me that it was a Visa Card. She lied to get a sale. What kind of company is ACS, they are a ripoff and if I knew that they was a credit program, which I do not need, I would have never agreed to pay them $199.95. I was taken because the rep lied and continued to lie more than once. ACS is a ripoff and they will say anything to get your money. However, they are putting me through a lot to get my refund. American Credit Solutions ripoff Tampa Florida ..Thank You Rip-off report
All I can say is Thank God for your website!! I received a card from American Credit Solutions advising me that I had not activated a credit card which had an approval line of $4000 dollars. It sounded a little strange to me and I also noticed there wasn't a name of a bank anywhere notification. They also told me this was my final notice. It didn't feel right to me and the index card looked very unprofessional. I made the phone call and they assured me that I would be getting a Visa or Mastercard with the limit of $4000. When I received the information, it was not a Visa or Mastercard and they refused to give me my money back. They stated they need to hear the recorded tapes in order to determine if they can give me my money back. This is bogus and I am very, very upset. There must be something we can do to put them out of business. So many people are falling into this trap. They are targeting the elderly, college students and other vunerable groups. Please help me get my money back. What can we do to close this business down?????? Thanks so much for posting this info. I'm sure it has helped many. Trish Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I received a postcard from ACS stating I qualified for a $4,000 credit line. I don't usually call these things, but I did. I spoke to Leontina Jeanpaul, she asked for my Confirmation Number and then proceeded to ask me my name, address, etc. When she asked me the name of my bank, I said, Wait a minute. I would like to know a little more about your company. I asked how much this was going to cost me. She hemmed and hawed around saying she must go through the steps to see which program I fit into. I kept asking her to give me some idea of the cost. Finally, she transferred me to her supervisor, Luann James. Luann was also very secretive and hesitant about telling me anything about the company. I then asked for the owners name and she said they don't give that out. She hung up on me. I called back and this time got Amanda, I asked for Luann and was told she was on another line, but she, Amanda, was the other floor supervisor. I got the same run around, can't give any information out, you must go through the steps to determine your fees, etc. I told Amanda was very rude and had hung up on me. She then said the report said I hung up on her! I told her that was an out and out LIE! She then transferred me to Luann James. I told her she LIED on her report and she squirmed and tried to make it sound like the phone disconnected or something. I then got online and found The Rip Off Report and saw all the complaints against American Credit Solutions. If anyone wants me to help put these scam artists out of business, let me know. Have you tried contacting the number 1-800-564-2517 to cancel your $4000 credit card and its disconnected. Kind of strange don't you think. That's because its a fraud. I have tried contacting the number and looking for a customer service number but can find neither a website or anything. And yesterday they tried attempting to take the $199.95 from my account but did not put the money in my account because I no longer wanted the card. Not that its a big deal or anything, the bank charged me an NSF money I still have had if it hadn't been for these deceiving SOB's. i got a final notice to activate your credit card in the mail & it caught my attention. i didnt apply for any credit card but it sounds great to have a pre approved card for a credit limit of $4000. i decided to call but after hearing that they need to charge my account for $199.95 plus 3 payments of $33.00 i change my mind.. the guy Michael Ruabs who im talking to has really a good convincing power so he talked me into post dating it till the end of the week if i still dont have fund on my bank for that. he talks so fast that i cant hardly understand what he's saying, i even told him that it can be a scam & he said he doesnt have time for that.. after getting off the phone, i search on the net about this company & i found one but they said they are not connected to the one who with the same company name but sells their credit card over the phone so thats strange & i found this site.. I'm pregnant & i really feel bad...im still shaken by the stupidity of what i did!!!! i called my bank & they said i should go there & file a form so american credit solution wont be able to debit my account but still i will be charge $20.00 which is ok with me than be ripped off for $299.00.... hope it works & i will surely learn my lesson on not entertaining this kind of scam!!! thanks for this site, i might not be able to loose my $299.00...lets see what happen next.... rc pittstown, New Jersey

American Credit Solutions ripoff scam con artists Tampa Florida
I too am a victim of this company. I was told that I would receive 2 platnium VISA cards and would be able to go out and make purchases at any store I chose. Instead, I received a card for a merchadise catalog and a letter that stated Welcome to American Credit Solutions, blah, blah, blah, and concluding the information was that nice little phrase that everyone looks for. If you are not completely satisfied simply call this number to receive your RAN# and instructions to return your package in resaleable condition. The conversation that I had with them on August 6, 2002 promised me 2 cards, 200 dollars in vouchers, 100 rolls of film, the ability of make purchases anywhere, 0% interest until 2003, then it would increase to 6%, and a $4000.00 credit limit that would increase in just 3 on time payments. When I received my package, I found that what they were really selling was the right to make purchases through a catalog that they no doubt own. After reading the enclosed information, I was very upset to think that even after making a $99.00 purchase and 3 on time payments of $33.00, I could then complete the enclosed application for a VISA card, mail it in and I may be eligible to receive it. On September 18, 2002 I contacted American Credit Solutions and told them that I was not satisified, I was told that in order for them to refund my money, they will have to review the tapes of our conversations to see if there was a misrepresentation. If so they will gladly refund my money, if not, then I am stuck with this. I was very clear when I told the representative so this is how you and your company are scamming the public now. I find the actions of this company appauling and they should be shut down. All of the representatives as well as the management should be fined or jailed. For fraud, they all know that the information they are feeding the public is nonsense, so they are all guilty. Tina Lowman, New York
