Here's a little hint that I found out.... CCB employees do NOT like it when you sing to them! Especially in a very loud screeching voice. I even had one representive tell me to take voice lessons. CROSS COUNTRY BANK NEEDS TO BE STOPPED
I have never experienced the bad business practices like I have with Cross Country Bank. Once I saw how they were adding fees that were excessively high and almost daily, I cancelled my account. Since that time I have received continous phone calls. In the last few days, I received 3 calls one day within 5 minutes. Today I received 6 calls within 10 minutes. Even after I told them to quit calling. I have faxed them telling them I am cancelling my account and that I want the balance to reflect that. I have even sought help through a credit counseling company and have told them that. Their response..........we will keep calling you and it does not make a difference. I do not mind paying for what I owe but this company in my opinion is running a scam. They need to be stopped. Cross Country cannot keep harrasing consumers and get away with it. I do know that Federal Debt Collections Practices Act of 1977 is suppose to protect consumers. I think a class action suit is needed and in order to keep Cross Country from claiming anymore victims.

CROSS COUNTRY BANK HARASSMENT SOLUTION
CROSS COUNTRY BANK offices in BOCA RATON FLORIDA are actually CROSS COUNTRY BANK in Delaware. Like a previous writer, I had to hide behind caller ID because of repeated harassing calls from CROSS COUNTRY BANK credit card debt collection. They told me several times their records would be corrected and my name and number removed. Naively, I trusted the integrity of the supervisors I spoke to, but the calls, sometimes 2 or 3 a day, did not stop. I found a CROSS COUNTRY BANK web site which was a sounding board for numerous other victims of their credit card collection harassment and got the first solid information which actually worked. CROSS COUNTRY BANK is chartered by the state of Delaware. I wrote to the Delaware State Banking Commissioner and explained my problem. Within a matter of days, I received a response from the Bank Commissioners office and about 2 weeks later I got a letter from Cross Country Bank apologizing for the unwarranted collection calls. I don't have the address handy, but contact the State Banking Commissioner in Delaware and you should get the help you need. Also, my state Attorney General's office (Maryland) passed my complaint through 4 different offices and agencies, and I just got a letter from THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION who advised me that they also contacted Cross Country and were told that the calls had stopped.

Cross Country Bank ripoff Boca Raton Florida
I hqve been rip-off by Cross Country Bank which does business out of Boca Raton, Florida. I received an e-mail from Cross Country Bank of Boca Raton, FL and when I opened the e-mail banner, my e-mail account information was used to activate a credit card account. There were several unauthorized charges placed on this account from Cross Country Bank of Boca Raton, FL; charges like satellite dishes, which I never purchased or received. The customer service representatives from Cross Country Bank began harrasing me by calling my home, my place of employment and making demands to pay for a credit card, I never authorized or used. I explained each time the fraudelent activity to each representative, of course to no avail. They continued to call...back to back... like clockwork at my home and on my job every morning. I have asked to speak with supervisiors in charge, again nothing was(has) been done about the fraudulent activity of Cross Country Bank of Boca Raton, FL. I recently received my credit bureau report and an entry from Cross Country BAnk appears. A dispute has been filed against Cross COuntry Bank, because I don't feel that this account is mine due to the process in which it was obtained. Cross Country Bank ripoff Boca Raton Florida
I made the mistake of applying to and accepting a credit card from Cross Country Bank.I would like to pay them off now,but after reading all of the different comments on this ripoff board,I would like to know the best way to go about this. I owe them a balance of $728.00,and would like to know if I should call the bank and try to settle for this amount. Also I get numerous calls from a company calling themselfs ASCS,from reading some of the posts,I think this may be Cross Country Bank's collection agency.They call several times a day,and sometimes leave a message and sometimes not.If this is their collection agency,should I deal with them or the bank. Cross Country Bank ripoff abused & mistreated
On Sept:17th 1999 I was sitting at a stoplight when I was Hit from behind by a 3 time Drunk Driver.I was Working for Nabisco and was paying all my bill's on time. I was very careful to pay my credit cards on time and when I was hit in the accident I still paid them as long as I could. When my savings ran out the call's started. Night and Day. Even after 9:00 P.M. which is the leagal stop time for collections. Well I just had a 360 Degree Spinal fusion on April 26th 2002 and was in a Hell of alot of pain. They calledme and told me even though they had a hardship Department for thing's like this they were going to clean out my Bank Account and turn it over to charge-off where as I would be forced to go before 3 Judges (Arbitration Judges) and pay the full amount. My other credit card companys turned the cards over to collection companys who offered tosettle for a reasonable amount considering my situation. Cross Country Bank Lied, Threatened, and conived any way they could to get me to give them A Check # so they could clean out what little money I had. They ARE RIPOFFS and I hope they all Rot in H-ll. Cross Country Bank ripoff Internet
I am a credit card holder of cross country bank and you are right they are a rip off. The first 3 months of holding the card they failed to send my bills and when I did receive a bill it had late charges on it for the 3 bills that I never received one. I called the company and told them that I never received a bill and to take off the late charges and they told me that the bills where mailed out but must have been misrouted. That's not my fault that the bills were misrouted. So I still had late fees on my bill for 3 months. Ever since that day of calling the company, they have been calling me at my house and at my employment. I have been making payments on my bill but they should not be harassing me at my home my employment. I work at a hospital in the emergency room. And they persist on calling me there at work. I have already gotten in trouble for these phone calls because the phone is for medical reasons only. I would think that if they are so worried about the payments that they would make sure that they wouldnt call at my work so that i dont loose my job. It wouldn't be so bad if they would only call me once a week, but this is every day maybe 6 times day and always 4 calls in a row which adds up to be about 24-30 times a day. cross country bank/miss appled payment
I made a pymt with a money order. The next bill I recieved showed no payment. I sent it off in plenty of time. It now had a late penalty of $30.00 and because of the penalty it put me over my limit, and so I was charged another $30.00 total of $60.00 now on my balance. I called Crosscountry and I was told to get a copy of the money order front and back. This takes about 6-8 weeks from the money order company. Because I couldn't 2 payments at once and even though I made the next one they sid it was late becasue that payment to the last months bill. So once again late fee & over limt fee. I was paying 30.00 a month but was being charged $60.00. When I finally got the money order showing proof that they cashed it they said the numbers were not clear to find out where it was applied to so I was S.O.L.!!!! I had to pay $245.00 to catch up. Cross Country Bank Settlement Scam
Cross Country Bank charged my two accounts off. One card had a credit limit of $500 and the other $750. Well when they were charged off, my balances increased to $975.00 and $1233.86. I was in a difficult financial situation and agreed to pay $60/per month until i could pay in full. I got harrassing phone calls at work and at home from their Collection agency, Creditors Interchange AKA CUI. They told me that my payments were unacceptable and i agreed to combine both account and settle for 3 payments of $387. Apparently there are no notes written in their system as far as a settlement, they will not send me any informtion, but continue to harrass me, telling me that i still owe $745.00. I have dealth with about 7 different representatives and not one of them have clear notes or altered notes in their system. They are scamming me for more money. Creditors Interchange along with Cross Country do not act in Good Faith, but are scamming you for you money and will continue to scam until we can put a stop to it. Any notes i have taken in regards to my situation are not being considered and i will have to pay the balance of $745. Cross Country Bank Payment run around
This is in reference to the Cross Country Bank visa card. I sent a payment to these people a week ago, last thursday, and every time that I phone these people, on my dime none the less, I am told that it could take x number of days for a payment to post. First it was 4-5 business days, and now suddenly it is 7-10 working days. I refuse to pay by phone or give them my bank account number. I send my payments by money order so that I have proof that I have sent these people money. I would like to know if they are known to get your money, not post it and then charge you a late fee? I am seriously tired of the run around from this company and I too would love to cut up their credit fraud card and mail it back to them, however I am deeply into a online game and I need a credit card in order to play it. Alot of time and money is invested in this game, and I grow frustrated with each day that I get the run around from this company. Also is it not convienant how there always seems to be a Supervisor answering the phones, once i can get a human, after my first complaint about my payment not being posted? Cross Country Bank - Relentless scam artists
If you are ever invited to obtain a Cross Country Bank credit card run for your life! These folks are the ultimate scam artists. They hit you with little charges that push you over your credit limit causing an over limit fee and if you are one day late with a payment they slap you with a late charge and then start calling you relentlessly, numerous times a day. They even try calling you at work, which in my opinion is sheer stupidity at it's finest. How in the world are you going to be able to maintain a job and earn money to pay these people when they are calling your place of employment and harassing enough to get a person fired! When you tell them to stop they say they won't - however there is an organization you can now call to report them for contacting you on your job and they will be fined $5,000 - let's call on these tactless folks and perhaps if enough people band together we can put an end to their underhanded tactics!!! Cross Country Bank Rip-Off Scammers
About a year ago I got a letter from Cross Country Bank stating that I was pre-approved for a Gold Visa. I applied for the card. I got the Gold Visa after two weeks. Got a whopping $350 credit limit! Having credit problems in the past, I didn't mind because I need a major credit card for rental cars, hotels and stuff. I was never late on my payments and I usually pay a lot more than the amount due (usually $150-$200). During the holidays, I decided to pay off the entire balance on my card which at that time was $305. A week later, I went to go Christmas shopping, and decided to use the card for a purchase of about $60. Low and behold, my card was declined. So I was wondering why it was declined when I paid off the entire balance over a week ago. So called CrossCountry Bank (long distance)and ask why my card was declined. They told me that they froze my account until my payment cleared the bank. I asked them why when they never did before. They told me that because I made such large payment. They told me I had to wait 12 days before I can use my card again. So that was the beginning of our good relationship. I now pay close attention to all my bills. I recently noticed that I was being charged cash advance fee on my account when I never use my card to get cash. I'm still waiting for explanation from these scammers.

Ripped off by Cross Country Bank Fraud Victim
I have been with Cross Country bank for seven years, last year I had called to inqure about my account, three days later a check in the amount of $130.00 cleared my account, I called my bank to invesigate this check and was told applied credit services (Cross Country bank) had submited this check, the thing was the check was off 5000 numbers in sequence, I informed the bank to send the check back, they did and two days later the check cleared. Knowing that this credit card company is less than trust worthy, I took matters into my own hands and withdrew the money through a cash advance to keep from destroying my checking account. Ten days later I received a letter stating that the check was returned and that a $27.00 fee had been applied to my account. I called immediatly and spoke with Missy in the collection department and let her know that the check was not authorized by me, now looking back she never acted like it was anything new, she explained the matter would be investigated and all fees would be reversed, almost a year later and all fees have not been reversed. I have written letters and received back a apology about my inconvience but only had a overlimit fee reversed, that is a slap in the face due to the hundreds of dollars they have charge me for there mistake. The collection department has called home and work so many times you would have to have a personal assistant to keep track. I have closed my three accounts and noticed last month that even on a closed account Cross Country bank will charge you an annual fee if you still have a balance, when I called to ask what it was for the customer service rep told me to mail out the statements, give me a break what about the high intrest I think that takes care of the .50 cents a month it takes to generate a statement. So I really have to laugh at the people that are calling the others dead beat and stating that Cross Country customer service is so great, and the rebutals from the customer service staff, and collection department like someone said in one of the hundreds of complaints people have better things to do than make up stories. Cross Country bank needs to be investigated, so my next step and I urge others is to write a letter to the Visa corporation with plenty of documentation to support your facts, and take the name of the collectors and the times they call and what they say, and read the fair credit act, and if they violate it file a complaint with the trade commission.

Cross Country Bank - SCAM - Disgusted and Ridiculous Business Ethics
Speaking of SCAMS..........Recently I was approved for a credit card with Cross Country Bank (my understanding, they approve everyone, even BIN LADEN, that's why that A** wipe has so much AMERICAN MONEY!!!). After about a month of phone calls, I finally received a letter from them stating I had to pay a fee of 35.00 due to criteria received from a credit reporting Agency before thay could process my request. Well, I sent in the 35.00 bucks plus a fee of 8.95 by Money gram, CASH mind you. I spoke with two different people on the phone the very same day telling me that I'd receive my card within a few days of receiving my payment. So i went by money gram and supposedly it was to get there within ten minutes. After a few days and speaking with more than five reps., i called once again to check on the status of my card and they tell me that there is a 9 day waiting period and then my card is printed and i should get it within 12-15 days, three of those days being a holding period for mail out~ WHAT THE F***?!?!?!?!? To top it all off, my credit limit is 250, but yet they say I am only allowed to use 135.00, considering 100 in origination fees and 50 in annual fees. If you ask me, this is a rip off because of all the time and hassle and MONEY to even GET the damn thing, is definately NOT worth a mark on my credit report that I am trying hard to re-establish! I have talked to a total of 7 reps and each one of them has told me something totally different. I applied for this card on October 2, 2001 and have YET to receive it, here it is December 12, 2001. CROSS COUNTRY BANK IS A RIP OFF
I HAVE BEEN MAKING REGUALR PAYMENTS ON MY ACCOUNT AND THE BALANCE SEEMS TO BE GROWING. I HAVE GAVE THEM PERMISSION TO TAKE THE PAYMENTS AUTOMATICALLY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT UNTIL THE END OF JULY. SINCE THEN THEY HAVE CONTINUED TO TAKE OUT PAYMENTS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. THE PAYMENTS THAT WERE TAKEN OUT ARE NOT EVEN POSTED TO MY ACCOUNT. THE CALL MY HOUSE ALL THE TIME AND HARRASS ME REGARDING THE PAYMENTS.

i want to make a complaint against cross country bank when i first applied for the card i gave them all my information then i got the card i called to see how much credit i was allowed and was told i had a credit limit of $350 well later on i called to see how much my payments were going to be and was told $34 a month i askes how much credit i had and was told $188 i asked why and they said that was their fees and after two payments i could get more of a credit line so i then actvaded the card well when the bill came in the payments wer $78 amonth and that i was over my credit limit i said no i wasnt but they argued with me that i got mad and hung up they called right back and kept repeating when are you going to pay this we want our money i replied that i didnt owe this amount and hung up a gain they called back i said i dont want you callin me again and they said we will everyday till you pay all of this again i hung up well they have called every hour or two sunday till saturday from 8:oo am till after 10:oopm i told them also that i live on a limited income of ssi and ssa that if i had known the fees were going to be this high i wouldnt have activaded the card i have been threatened with fraud charges and acussed of stealing their money please if anyone knows how to get them to leave me alone i wish they would tell me how thank you shirley campbell portsmouth, oh

Cross Country Bank Credit Card ..absolutely outrageous rip-off
I was sent an offer for a free credit card in the mail. I accepted the offer only to find that the cost of the card was already deducted once I received the card. I charged an amount less than the card limit. Now the re-payment amount is doubling and tripling and I cut up the card one year ago. I was sending a monthly payment and instead of money being deducted it was increasing. There is a late fee, and the late fee takes you over the limit. I charged about $400.00 maximum and my balance is almost $2,000.00. I have tried calling and making arrangements, but I was told that the price would continue to rise with the late and over limit fees. It is as if I will have to pay for the rest of my life and I have not even used the card in about a year. Now they have an attorney trying to sue me for non-payment. This is absolutely outrageous, I desperately want to settle this matter...

This company is designed to keep you behind, and they claim that there is no one to direct your complaints to directly. Over the years that I have held this account I have never felt so ripped off in my life. This company makes be fell like I'VE been arm robbed everytime I recieve my bill. The employees of Cross Country Bank should be proud of the way that they lie and cheat card holders. The scam appears to be to establish trust and then slowly alter the agreement. I made an internet payment 3 days before my due date, what a mistake! CCB took 8 business days to apply the payment, creating late and eventually-over limit fees. The employees of this company have no idea what the policies are and proceed to lie and promise actions that they or no one else in the company are authorized to do. This company can be silenced by contacting them in writing that they cease to make any contact by phone. In my situation, they stopped calling my house(as many as 8 phone calls in one day) and started calling my employer. CCB was informed that any more calls to my employer would result in CCB being charged with phone harassment by my employer, this stopped calls to my employer. CCB attempts to intimidate people with the threat of credit rating destruction and throwing insults at people while on the phone. I feel sorry for the poor slugs who work for this company, as they work 7 days a week violating numerous fair practice standards and state statutes.My balance is now more than double my credit limit, with no resolution in sight. This is a case of harassment. I receive calls two or three times a day from these people looking for an individual that does not live at my home. I keep telling these people the person they are seeking does not live here nor do I have a forwarding address or telephone number. These people are relentless! They will not quit calling. I have told them time and time again. I have been nice. I have been angry. I have been testy. I have asked to speak to a manager. I have threatened them with a lawsuit. Last July I requested to close the account and they just refused to do so and kept charging me up over the limit frequently. They finally sent me a letter and stated they have closed my account in September. I paid over 135 dollars and they just kept charging me overlimit fee and late fee regardless. They did not send me the statement before its due. After the due and they added up overlimit and late fees. Today I received the statement I must pay $242.00. I need some helps. I found this website and I do really need some helps to solve this before I may be forced to turn it over to the attorney. I cannot afford but I may have no choices. I have copies.
