Alyon Technologies ripoff Elizabeth New Jersey
I can't desribe the anger and frustration I am having with this company! I got a bill in the amount of $361.00 that I had no clue as to what it was for. The bill came on the 12th of May and the due date was listed as the 18th of May. It said services were used on May 1st. The bill itself is quite telling. What company bills you for services after only a few days, and then requires payment in full, with threat of collection agency! They also tell you how to dispute the bill, as if they know that is exactly what you intend to do! I do not have the time nor energy to play games with these people! I have found great info from Gregory of Redding CA and hope he continues to keep up with his reporting. I accessed TV Broadcasts, one from my state even, and much needed info on who I need to contact, but I fear if these nuts do send me to a collection agency, my credit will be affected! I sincerely hope that all people will band together and not let these (censored)take advantage of us! Someone please stop these (censored)! I am a new owner of a computer and now have to have a technician come to my home to correct all the problems I'm having. I have wasted far to much time, on this situation, and feel I should send them a bill for my time, and aggravation! I hope in the event that this situation is somehow corrected that all of the people who have filed reports, will be notified. While it is a great task since there are so many of us, I fear that I will cave and make payments to save my good credit rating! Please post info if these people are brought to justice, so we all can sleep alittle easier! Thanks again to Gregory, for working so hard on behalf of the working class people who know very little about computers and the hazards that accompany them! Rip-off Report please contact me if you can help. Thank you!!!! Diane Burlington, WisconsinU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies, First Credit ripoff Secaucus New Jersey
I never heard of these people before they sent me a bill for $127.00. I called them they said they were an adult entertainment co and that their sight had been downloaded via my phone line (I have Comcast). They claim they verified the ss # as being an adult. They couldn't have I was at work when this occured. They claim someone in the house must have done this and, therefore, I was responsible because the phone is listed in my name. They called me in july and wanted to settle the account for $75.00; but it had to be done right then and to give them credit card information. I refused to give that information over the phone and asked to have a bill sent to me which they refused to do. Then they asked if I had a checking account with a debit card and wanted that information. I refused again. On 8/16 I received another call and I told them I knew this was a scam and I had reported them to the FTC. It's about that time I noticed she turned the tape recorder on. Alyon Technologies dishonest billing ripoff scam ELIZABETH NEW JERSEY
I am receiving bills from Alyon Technologies billing my phone number for ridiculous amounts of money for adult websites. I have never visited any adult sites and never intend to. I have 5 small grandchildren ages 1yr. to 6yrs. of age who go on the internet to visit kid websites such as Disney, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network. If any of those nasty pictures from those adult sites ever pop up in front of these little eyes, I would be devastated. I don't know how they got my name, address and telephone number. What can I do to stop them from invading my home? I will not pay for something I never ordered or want. I never opened an account with these people, nor did I enter any contract. These are modern day (censored). I'm going to send their bills back to them and tell them not to harrass me any more. Lorraine Little Falls, New YorkU.S.A.

Federal judge tells Internet company to refund disputed charges By PAUL WENSKE The Kansas City Star A federal judge has issued a preliminary order requiring an Internet company to refund money to thousands of consumers allegedly charged for pornographic services they never purchased. The Missouri attorney general's office also has a separate pending lawsuit against the company, Alyon Technologies Inc., which operates a billing system for adult Web sites. The preliminary order issued by the federal judge in Georgia does not end the federal case, nor does it affect the outcomes of separate cases filed in 13 other states, including Missouri. Hearings are still pending on claims by the Federal Trade Commission that Alyon illegally billed consumers and then collected money from people who had never visited a pornographic site. The FTC claims it received more than 1,200 consumer complaints. The Missouri attorney general's office said it received 100 consumer complaints. The lawsuits filed in Missouri and other states allege Alyon manipulated software to capture the phone numbers used by the modems of many Internet users. The lawsuits contend the company matched the numbers against several databases and then charged users $4.99 a minute for the time it claimed they viewed video programming. Alyon has disputed the claims. Company officials said they had been cooperating with the government. They also claim the FTC has mischaracterized the case to the public. According to the FTC, Alyon is required to pay restitution to consumers who have already filed written complaints with Alyon and the FTC, or will within the next three months. To receive restitution, consumers must show either that they did not subscribe to the telephone line when the charges were incurred, that a minor accessed the services without permission or that the site was accessed without the consumer's authorization. Alyon has 30 days in which to investigate the disputed charges. An independent arbiter will have final say over disputes that affect payments to consumers. -----------------------------------------------= I was uaware that the Federal Trade Commission has TWO lawsuits against Alyon. One to force the company to significantly change their business practices and provide restitution to (censored)customers. The second, like the State AG's, to secure massive monetary and other damages in specific civil suits. Alyon lost big in the first case, it will be interesting to see what the FTC does with the second action. thomas ashville, North CarolinaU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies Getting your money back and other facts Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
As part of many of the lawsuits, Alyon will have to make restitution to the victims they bilked. In other words, give back the money sent to them. How this will be done, I do not know. The Attorney Generals will probaly ask for the company's business records or require Alyon to send out requests for refunds. Or they may require YOU to get in touch with them. So stay with this website for the most current information. If you live in a State that is suing Alyon, you may wish to contact your AG. It has not been emphasized in the news reports, but the Federal Trade Commision (FTC) is also suing Aylon. That's the Feds and will be a major headache for this company. That is why Alyon's PR release last week emphasized how stunned they were at the FTC's lawsuit. I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read it. The lawsuits ask for money penalties for EACH example of (censored)ranging from $1000 to $$25.000. There are also other huge fines for their business practices. This will probably put Alyon out of business. Another intriguing news report last week mentioned that there were arrests of certain individuals for various cases of Internet (censored). There were no names given, and I wonder if Alyon was involved. Perhaps Gregory, the incredible researcher or the EDitor can get more information. anonymous laredo, TexasU.S.A.
