Alyon Technologies ripoff I was charged $83.13 for a internet site which I know I did not use Elizabeth New Jersey
I received a charge for 83.13 on 05/25/2003 for a Web Content. I called and told them that I did not use this service and I also sent them a letter. I received a phone call saying that this was made from my home phone. I explained to them that I am disabled and on a fixed income and the computer is right by my bed for my use only. I did not hear anything till last week I received a phone call and the man was very rude told me that it was turned in for collection, and I would pay it. Like I explained to him I have no reason to go on this site plus I should know if I did. I really feel that this was very unfair and I know if it happened to me others have been charged also. I got a bill from this ALYON, which charged me $78.24 for 16 min porn access dated last month. And this stupid bad company billed to: 1. My old address, which I moved out one year ago 2. My old phone number, which I cancelled one year ago 3. Partial of my name, I think Verizon provided to them, since my real telephone bill only shows my partial name. 4. The bill was forwarded to my new address. 5. I check my internet access record, I didn't use internet at all at the charged time. Obviously, this company is (censored)and disturbing all of the Americans. Let's get rid of it! H. L La Jolla, CaliforniaU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies ripoff, unauthorized dialer download Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
Alyon Technologies is a (censored)and I didn't even know it was happening. I recieved a bill from them in the amount of $88.02 for premium web content-adult-alt. I have visited adult web sights (I will not lie about that) but this one downloaded a dialer to my computer that took over the phone line at the same time. I did not agree to a download of a dialer. Most web sights want a credit card number for payment and ID, or so I thought! I recieved a bill from Alyon Tech. through the US postal service dated 4-06-03 for the adult service dated 3-23-03 for 18 minutes at $4.99 a min. There is no indecation of what the sight was and I have requested this information from them via e-mail and they will not give me that information. Also they will not tell me what service was provided for that bill. I have e-mailed them 5 times and they will not answer my questions. This alone tells me that there is a porblem here. I also responded to the bill by US Mail requesting this information, again no responce. I told them I want to know because I don't want this to happen again. Yesterday (May 29th 2003) recieved a phone bill through vorizon with an attached bill from USP&C for $109.78 for a 900 call on Jan, 30th 2003 (which does not show up on my unwanted account with alyon, just the 3-23-03 date is on there file). I called verizon and requested the bill to be removed. I also called USP&C to make sure that this was taken care of. They did remove the bill for me thank god! I also asked the rep if they knew about the problems with Alyon tech and she said yes. I asked if I could speak with someone to lodge a complaint and she said no and that this problem was already being investaged. I requested a 900 block on my line and she took care of that, as verizon did also for me. But this will not stop the problem because the access is after I log on to my server anyway. I called my net provider and told a rep this and he agreed with me that the 900 block would not do any good. I then searched the web for info on Alyon and got lots of info about all the other people having the same problem. Through the search I found out that is was do to a dialer that was down loaded without my concent and how to find and un-install it. I found the dialer in my files and un-instaled it but I don't know how it happend in the first place. It could happen again. That is why I requested this info from Alyon. I get no answers for this question. I figured that I would make sure not access any adult sights so this can not happen again. From reading other reports on the net with this problem I found out that people who don't access adult sights had it happen to them anyway! Granted many searches that have no intent of finding adult sights end up with adult sights anyway. So how can we stop this? I refuse to pay any bill from alyon but what about my phone bill? USP&C stated that they would do this only one time. These people need to shut down. I will do all I can to see that they get shut down! Carl Berlin, New HampshireU.S.A.

About two months ago I was using the internet at a friends house. I was on for a couple of hours and when I decided to log off there was pop-up screen reading that I was connected to some cite and that the charges would be billed to the phone bill. I had no idea what cite I could have been in that would be charging me. My friend and I didnt think much about it at the time, and thought that surely it was a mistake. About two weeks later my friend got a bill in the mail from Alyon Technologies for $417.51, I about had a heart attack. He gave the bill to me but I just didnt have $417.51 to send someone when I didnt even know what the charge was for. I never did send them any money but they keep sending me bills stating Alyon Technologies reserves the right to pursue this past due account and utilize all means legal and proper to ensure the past due amounts are recovered. I really can not afford for this to show up on my credit report as a Bad Credit. It wasnt until my fiance'got on the internet and typed in Alyon Technologies and found that other people have experienced the same problems with the same company. So this is my complaint and I hope it does some good. Thank You, Brandon Brandon Blue Rapids, KansasU.S.A.

I was using the internet when a web site claiming to show nude celebrites popped up under the title nocreditcard.com. I closed the window and I thought that was it Approximately one week later, I received a bill in the mail for $176.04 from Alyon technologies. They stated that I spent 36 minutes on their site at a rate of $4.99/minute. I was shocked and my sister was very pissed off cause the bill was under her name. I denied visiting the site and told her that I would not pay the bill. I viewed their FAQ and it seemed like they had a rebuttal for any statement. So at this time I was stuck. I contacted a law group and explained my situation. They were not interested in taking the case and told me to read articles on the Consumer Law Page to find the right lawyer. I felt like I had been ripped off and knew that I was probably not the first. I felt that their company had set up a deceitful business that tried to charge $300/hr. I'm not a desperate person that needs to look at their site. And if I did want to spend $300/hr on porn, I might as well have hired a prostitute, which is probably cheaper. I did not receive anymore bills from them after January 2003 and I wondered why. Then, in April my sister told me she had seen something on TV about this company and how they were being investigated for (censored). I was quite happy about this. When I did a search on the internet, I found all these complaints. It was a relief in a way to know that I hadn't been the only person they had done this to. I was angry too though, because they have done this to so many people and unfortunately some people paid their bill. I hope this company is shut down. They try to take advantage of innocent people and their sites are accessible to minors which is wrong. Jon San Bernardino, CaliforniaU.S.A.

Alyon Technologies, Inc. uses (censored)billing to rip-off the elderly Elizabeth New Jersey My elderly grandmother whose sole source of income is social security was billed $483.16 from Alyon Technologies, Inc. She was about to send in the money not even knowing what it was for! I saw the bill and luckily looked it up on the internet finding Alyon involved in alleged deceptive practices. My grandmother is 79 years old and does not use a computer. I think it is horrible for a company to prey upon old people with limited income who are bullied into paying a false bill. I received a bill in the mail in the amount of $185.82 from these folks for some sort of web service on a morning when the only one home was my 12 year old son. When I called, they said it was for 31 minutes of xxx movies. When I told the woman that only a 12 year old was home she accused me of interuppting and being rude by trying to talk over her and refused to discuss it further. My son, who I almost felt like killing, told me that pop up adult ads kept coming on and as he tried to click each one closed, yet another two or three would open. He told me he just kept clicking and trying to close things and never watched any movie. I now find that there are cookies and icons installed on my computer without my permission as well. I don't know who these jerks are, but I am going to reprt them to everyone and anyone I can think of. It is outrageous! My son would not even begin to know all of the information needed to fill out an application to get on this program. Also the account was opened under my husband's name and he is computer illiterate (I keep trying to talk him into sitting with me to learn, but he has been too busy.) So, in short, this is not only (censored), it is child abuse as they have exposed my son to God knows what (we all know internet sex sites have some VERY perverse (animals or incest anyone?!) things.) I am very, very ticked off about this and they are going to be very, very sorry they screwed around with me when I get finished with them, I'll tell you that! Sheila Pompano Beach, FloridaU.S.A.

To whom it may concern, We have just received a bill from Alyon Technologies in the amount of 376.53. The funny thing about this bill is not only did we not incure these charges, but the charges are in the homeowner's name and not our name, the people who rent from the homeowner. So our landlord is upset because he has a bill for 376 bucks and does not even own a computer. Where do these people get their information from anyway. Alyon Technologies rip-off! Secaucus New Jersey *EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back into your bank account!
I received a bill in the mail in July, 2003, for 176.44 from Alyon Technologies for which I had no idea who they were or what they wanted. I have received calls and I finally paid them by credit card and they have turned my name into a collection agency and they have started calling again. This is a real ripoff. I will not pay them a dime more and when they call I hang up the phone. Georgeann Donalds, South CarolinaU.S.A. Click here to read other Rip Off Reports on Alyon Technologies EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back! HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO: Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has beencensored activity within your account. Explain that you wish you file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E. According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days. If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 # , and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges. Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent! DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/comptroller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get. And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state. Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth. If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form. CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute censored credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since censored companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here. Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action. And good luck Let us know how you do! Alyon Technologies Rip-off fraudulent billing Norcross Georgia Norcross Georgia click here for EDitor's comment; Alyon's efforts to resolve complaints and click here to read Alyon's response
I received a bill from Alyon Technologies (www.Alyon.net) for services to an Adult Website. I did not use this service or even realized they existed prior to receiving this bill. This bill is for $616.44 and claims that my phone number was used to dial into their server to access an adult website. No one in my house used this service and there were times that they reported that it was used that we were either not at home or were asleep. When I tried to call the customer service number during office hours, I was routed to a mailbox that was full and I could not leave a message. I then sent an email to CustomerSupport@alyon.net that went unanswered. I believe somehow they received my phone number and charged it even though we never dialed it from our house. Could be fraud on their part or some kind of a hacker that substituted my number. These charges are fraudulent and I have already contacted the Attorney General as well as the Federal Trade Commission. I would appreciate it if the word could get out about this company and if you have any suggestions in contesting the bill and preventing other groups from doing similar things. Tracy WashingtonU.S.A.
