Blue Mountain Blue Mountain Fraudulent Practices Internet
I signed up with Blue Mountain a year ago. I've been a customer over the years and never had a problem with them until now. My subscription with them expired this month; when they sent me a reminder to renew, I did nothing. However, this morning when I checked my bank account online I learned that they had charged my credit card without any authorization. I spent an hour on the phone trying to reach someone but was disconnected every time I called. The live chat was useless as well. When I searched for consumer complaints later I read account after account of Blue Mountain initiating unauthorized charges. Obviously this company has been using deceptive and fraudulent practices since 2001! I sent them and email stating that I planned to contact the FTC, the parent company American Greetings, and post to every consumer complaint website I can find unless they refund my money immediately. Also, although the number listed on their website is useless, there are other numbers listed by people who said they actually spoke to someone who helped them. I did not read any accounts of someone getting a refund. The phone numbers listed were 216-252-7300, and 800-711-4474. I have not tried either but I will tomorrow during business hours. Buyer, beware!

Blue Mountain Chalets ripoff Collingwood Ontario
Blue Mountain Chalets takes a security deposit off customers for damages and long distance calls. Trying to get your money back from these people that belongs to you is like pulling teeth. They have had my security deposit for over 4 months and calling daily. They have so many excuses on why they have not returned my money that you get tierd of calling. Any other place I have stayed at has alway done a pre authorizaton on my credit card not actual taken the money off my card and kept it. If they returned my money like they said they were going to, it would be find but four weeks to four months is a big difference. I enjoyed my stay, nice place, But will never go back because you have to fight for your money back. Security deposit fighter Deposit fighter Toronto, OntarioCanada

Blue Mountain ECards On-line greeting cards Internet
I ordered a 30 day trial and I wanted to cancel before the end. It was impossible on-line. I found their 800 number and could not ever get to a customer service rep and cancelled on line. The ending message was thank you for activating your account. I called back and could not get a live person and the ending message no matter what I did said you have entered into a contract that is nonrefundable. They charged my credit card and I had the charge reversed and placed a complaint with my credit card company. They suggested I document it on this web site and with the BBB. This company is the worst I've ever dealt with and even though I have used them in past years, I will never do so again. Shame on Blue Mountain and their management! Blue Mountain Cards Online - - Blue Mountain e cards Blue Mountain greeting cards Refusal to provide refund Internet
I signed up for a free trial. At the end of the free trial period I tried to cancel my membership. The web site was so confusing I couldn't figure out how to do it, so I gave up after about 20 minutes, intending to come back at it fresh (but just how much time am I supposed to spend canceling a membership?)  I could not find any way to contact Blue Mountain and have one of their people do it. Their 800 number provides only automated information which did not help.A day or two later, I noticed a 29.99 charge on my credit card - for a full year in advance. I revisited the site and after about 1/2 hour finally managed to navigate to the cancellation area.   I canceled on the same day as the charge to my account.  I sent an email to their customer service - I can't find the email address again thanks to the convoluted site (it can only be intentional) -- and have received no response.I disputed the charge with Paypal, and they denied the claim saying I should cancel the account to prevent further charges (which I had done even before Paypal's response). This fails to address the fact that I have been charged for (a minimum), 364 unwanted days of service. Like another poster, I am suspicious of Paypal's motivations.Marc L.Lloyd, FL

Blue Mountain Catalog RIPOFF, Scratcher Contest, 6 Shamrocks= $50,000 Abingdon Virginia
I received a catalog from Blue Mountain Catalog advertising products and a scratcher contest. No purchase required. If you get 6 shamrocks you win $50,000.00. I DID. I sent my scratcher card in immediately and followed all requirements. Many subsequent calls to their 800 number equaled nothing. It is simply a voicemail and you receive no return call. I did not purchase anything from this company so I am not out any money but it is a total RIPOFF. It is false advertising to entice people to order from their catalog of ripoff products. I just wanted to send out a warning. I can't find them online either. Marie Hemet, CaliforniaU.S.A.

Blue Mountain Online Greeting Cards Deceptive practice during trial membership sign-up. , Internet
Stay miles away from this company.  Do an Internet (Google) search and you will see many examples of their deceptive practices and astonishlingly poor customer service.Be aware when you sign up for a e-card trial membership, and provide your credit card information, you are also sigining up for a create and print membership that will be auto-renewed yearly.  This is not made clear during the trial membership sign up process, and the details are buried in terms of service.Again, this information is not provided anywhere in a clear manner and is an obvious deceptive practice to take your money for a service essentially unrelated to the service you are signing up for, and a service that is not a trial service. There are plenty of high-quality, free e-card services.  I unfortunately did not discover this until it was too late.Summary:  DO NOT sign up for a free trial membership from this company, you will be billed anyway for a different service.

Blue Mountain Catalog I recieved 3 dead tomato trees Michigan
I ordered 3 tomoto trees from this company on 2-5-09. The check was made out to Harvest farms Inc for a total Of $18.99. On Tuesday 04-14-09 I recieved 3 dead stems. The only information on the outside of the box was Blue Mountain Catalog and the zip code mailing was from 49057. My zip code is 49252 and they put down 49522, one could only guess that this was an error on their part, but I have no information on how to get in touch with this company. Blue Mountain Catalog ripoff Takes money and doesn't send merchandise Abingdon Virginia
Blue Mountain Catalog customers are mostly 50 years old or older. My father sent an order to them on 9/19/06. They cashed his check 9/27/06. As of today he still has not received the merchandise paid for OR a refund. They sent him only 1 item that was worth $5. The order was for over $100. It's impossible to get thru on the phone to them. There is no customer service to help apparently. And today I called them again, which I do often, but the phone number wasn't even valid anymore. I saw on another website where they are trying to sell their customer list to the catalog now. How dishonest. I will be filing a report with the BBB and also seeing if the Post Master General can help since this company is using the mail for its fraud. It sickens me to think how they are preying on senior citizens and others that are may be housebound. Sheree Sellersville, PennsylvaniaU.S.A.

Blue Mountain Chrysler Liars and Rip offs Collingwood Ontario Cabada
It all started when I put a $500 hold on a 2005 Dodge Magnum through them. They told me that if I wanted to go elsewhere, they would refund the money. Nope. They made me buy the car or lose the money. So I bought the car. I traded in my 2003 Ram. They said they would pay off the rest of the truck when they sold it. They did not. I'm still being contacted by Chrysler Financial to pay the owing amount on the Ram. The car is having problems. Nothing major, but every time I go there, they can't get it in. I'm a long haul trucker, so I never know when I'm going to be in town so I can't book in advance. My rear windshield wiper and visor clip were broken when I bought it. The wiper took 6 months for them to fix, and I finally gave up and bought the clip myself. As for warranty? Hah! I was told I would have an expended bumper to bumper for 3 years. I ended up with one for 6 months. When I asked them about it, they said there must have been a mistake. To just bring it in and they'll take care of it. Bull! They haven't touched it. I get the run around when I come in. They still haven't cleaned the car... which they were supposed to do when they delivered it. When I went to pick it up, I went in the back and watched some of the employees trying to forse the door open with a piece of wood, as they'd locked the keys in, and didn't go get the second set from sales.... My experience? Don't buy a car from them. They lie, and they don't stand by what they say. As for financing.... don't trust them. I have automatic withdrawl with them, but they still keep saying I owe them money. Dennis Wasaga Beach, OntarioCanada

Blue Mountain E-Cards Deceptive Practices Internet
The free trial period will end with an automatic charge to credit card which it does not clearly state. I knew when I put in my credit card info that this was a scam but the reviews were good for the company so I made a bad decision. They do not tell you what the cost is anywhere on the site. I figured it would be like 10 dollars or something but it is $29.99! The cards are not high quality (there are random ads attached to them and most are pretty crappy designs) and when friends receive them, Blue Mountain gets their email and tries to get them to sign up for a Free Membership. So now I am stuck with a year subscription that I can't use because I feel guilty sending cards with advertisements that might cause my friends to get ripped off. Stay away from Blue Mountain E-Cards! Personally I am going back to regular cards in the mail, none of these services seem legit.

Blue Mountain Cards auto chasrge your credit card even though you canceled Internet
The free trial period is only supposed to be exactly that Free they do ask you for a credit card number however I only tried it for the first year I then called and requested cancelation but that did not happen.  Then this year l had another automatic charge to credit card even though I canceled last year. The servis is not anything special and when friends receive them, Blue Mountain gets their email and tries to get them to sign up for a Free Membership. I tried to call them to ask why they recarged my card and they said they had no record of my request to cancel yeah right. They also told me they send me a renewal notice via email that I have not record of.  Then when I tried to call the 888 254-1450 toll free number the only person they want to speak to is if you are reqesting a new subscription.  I spoke to Chris who after a bitter conversation he agreed to refund my card for $19.99 I will stay away from using a service who does not have customer service phone contact.  Stay away from Blue Mountain E-Cards!

Blue Mountain Chrysler Nothing but hassles and more $$$ Collingwood Ontario
Made a deal over the phone with this company for a truck that we saw listed on their website. The original deal was to include delivery to the halfway point between us. Once the deal was finalized we were then told that they didn't realize how far we actually were from them, and that they were no longer willing to deliver to this location, but one a few hours closer to them. We hesistantly agreed to the new meeting place, but since it would require us to stay overnight (7-8 hour drive for us), we asked them to cover the cost of our hotel. They agreed and said that they would reimburse us $100 for the hotel and would mail out a cheque to us after the fact. It has been a month and no cheque has come in the mail yet. That $100 is the least of our problems, though. We wanted to buy the truck out upfront, but after speaking with the salesperson and trying to get a deal, he told us they actually don't like selling outright and that we would get a better deal if we financed the vehicle. We were open to the idea of financing if it could get us a better deal. He told us that even with financing, we could pay the truck off instantly with no fees. So, we thought, what the heck - let's finance it and get a better price, then just pay it off right after (got $3000 off). When working out the financing, we asked that the truck be registered to our business (it was being purchased as a company vehicle). The finance manager told us that it would be a big hassle to put the sale through the business and instead convinced us to put it in my husbands name. When we went to get insurance for the vehicle through our business, our insurance broker told us it could not be done properly with the truck being in my husbands name. We would have to transfer the ownership at the MTO to the business name (which we did, and involved HOURS at the MTO office, hundreds of dollars in fees and new plates, and an emissions test). Less hassle to put it in my husbands name? Yeah, for the dealership! It was a HUGE hassle for us to get this changed. Then the dealership tells us that most of the warranties they convinced us to add would not be carried over if the truck was put into the business name at the MTO. They were personal policies for my husband only. The truck HAD to be insured properly, so I guess we are losing out BIG TIME on these warranties that we are paying for, for nothing. All because this couldn't be done through the business like it should have been in the first place. Surely they have other companies buying BUSINESS VEHICLES? More of our money lost. The payments were also set up to come out of my husbands personal bank account instead of the business account. We were assured that it just had to stay like this until one payment went through, and then we could easily change the account that the payments come out of to the business account. Tried doing this with TD Auto Finance and they will NOT change the account to a different name than what the truck was registered to by the dealer. When we got the truck, it only came with one key fob. The dealer said that they never received a second key from the rental company that they purchased the truck from. Since we had the Platinum Vehicle Armour warranty, we would be entitled to key replacement if lost. The dealer wrote on our Vehicle Armour that we received 2 keys, and asked US to go through the claim process to get the new key (it would be no problem!) When we called Vehicle Armour to put the claim in for a new key, they told us that they need confirmation from the dealer we bought the truck from that they have deactivated the old key. They never HAD the old key to deactivate, though. Now Vehicle Armour is giving us the runaround on getting a new key. I am still waiting for calls back about this (this was the icing on the cake after all of the above, and what lead me to write this report!) EVERYTHING that we were told would be easy to deal with later! has been nothing but a nightmare to deal with, and in MOST cases, not even possible to do! While thankfully we are very happy with the truck itself, we are not happy at all with the trouble we have had to go through to get this vehicle properly insured and paid for by our company. It should have been registered to the company from the beginning. We have not yet attempted to pay the vehicle out yet, but I can only imagine the surprises that are yet to come. We have lost thousands of dollars already and are not pleased. The finance manager should have a better understanding of how and why company vehicles are registered like they are. I was told by a friend that works at another dealer that the salesmen do not get the same commission when selling vehicles commercially as they do when they sell them personally. I can only guess this is why we were put through all this mess!

Blue Hippo ripoff Baltimore Maryland
i heard the commercial on the raido and was interested in the Plazma TV. i called and got signed up. i gave my checking information ad the company started withdrawing from my checking account every two weeks. i was paying $99. after a few weeks passed i called to find out when i was going to receive the t.v. and one rep. told me after so many weeks first because they want to see a steady pay history. at that time i was living in GA. i called again and another rep told me that i needed to fill out some paperwork before they were going to ship out the t.v. then i confirmed my mailing address to make sure i get the paperwork. at that time i had move out of the state and called back to let the company know that i moved and i wanted to inform them that i moved and wanted the t.v. shipped to my new address and again another rep stated that they were going to mail the form to my new address. after several weeks going by and i still hadn't received the paperwork i called blue hippo again to see if they could fax the forms to me and i gave them several work fax numbers and i still haven't received any of the paper work by then blue hippo had withdrew about $900 from my checking account and i still didn't have the t.v. i had to put a stop payment so blue hippo can not take any more of my money. not to mention the customer service i got was just rude and insane. it is a shame that this company is still able to broadcast on the radio and t.v. commercials.  I canceled a so-called free electronic greeting card membership after reading the small print at blue mountain dot com. i cancelled due to the fact i was not interested in paying $4.99 for a free membership. this is after the fact i did give blue mountain my debit card number with the offer of one free card being sent. i canceled upon learning this fact. however blue mountain has been removing $4.99 from my bank account from April-September 2017. I am on ssi and these charges have bounced costing me an additional $28.00 per charge. In the meantime I reporte the issue to my bank back in May of 2017 and they replaced my debit card and this was reported as fraud yet blue mountain never stopped removing money from my old debit card account...they accessed my routing number.....I have written to the company via email several times also called the 1-800 number and nobody has ever answered.  .this adds up t approximately $180. i am homeless. i live in a garage with my oldest son. this is hideous what has happened as no one seems to care. that includes my bank. online fraud has to stop NOW.

Blue Mountain Cards - American Greetings Interactive Free card - email ripoff, Internet
Do not respond to 'FREE email from Blue Mountain cards.  There is nothing free...  The fine print ties you into a revolving charge.  If you supply them with your credit card, they will bill you.  If you abort and do not supply credit card info, they have an arrangement with Bill Me Later.  Bill Me Later then creates an account in your name and begins sending a monthly statement.  If you ignore (because you know you ordered or agreed to no service), they continue to sedn  monthy billing statements which continue to acrue finance and late fees. Both of these companies take advantage of fine print to ripoff unsuspecting victims through their unscrupolous practices. Do not be fooled by Bill Me Later articles on the internet about their lucrative agreements with Amazon, etc.  This company is not only in bed with ripoff emails, they perpetuate the ripoff as well.

Total Ripoff: Blue Mountain Cards Deceptive practices and illegal cancellation scheme. Should be reported to attorney general for state and better business bureau. Internet
Blue Mountain has begun a new and deceptive practice to lock consumers into yearly subscriptions without refunds. When signing up for a free trial, a user must then request cancellation to the free trial, or it automatically rolls into a yearly subscription. When calling to cancel, the company will cancel but will not refund - EVEN IF YOU CALL THEM THE VERY DAY OF THE CONVERSION. In essence, they force you to pay for a service you have acknowleged (and they have acknowledge) you do not want and will not use. I am currently inquiring into whether this is legal under my state attorney general's guidelines. I will certainly report them to the better business bureau and ever other consumer watchdog organization I can find. Blue Mountain does not care about the consumer one bit...they only want to deceive a consumer to take their money and run. It is the most consumer UNfriendly company I have ever found. They betray consumer trust. I cannot fathom who is running this business and what they are thinking, as this is NOT a business model for success. And to boot...when you try to call them, they have installed an automated phone system that is impossible to navigate. In the course of 3 dozens calls, the phone system only understood my inputs 1/2 the time, and only on 3 occassions was I able to get through to a person. Ironically, every one of the 3 times the customer services rep kept saying hello...this is Jerry, how can I help you? We must have a bad connection. I need to hang up. And they hung up. So even when you get through to them, they will not speak to you. Ripped off by blue mountain Seattle, WashingtonU.S.A.

Blue Mountain Cards - American Greetings Interactive No way to contact representative with problems or questions about cancellation Cleveland Ohio
This is a frustrating website. I signed up for a trial and found the cards and selection less than satisfactory. I cancelled my membership but apparently there was a second part that didn't get cancelled. When I tried repeatedly to contact a customer service there was no way to speak to anyone. Finally I researched the parent company American Greetings and got their customer service number. I asked them to check the phone service of Blue Mountain which she said she would. I would urge folks not to sign up for the service unless they are very clear about the agreement and know how to cancel. Otherwise the taped message says you will be charged without recourse. Blue Mountain - American Greetings AG Interactive No way to cancel! In Bed with Bill Me Later! Possible Contact 1-800-711-4474 Brooklyn, Ohio
April 6th 2009-Signed up with Blue Mountain eCards for free trial.April 12th 2009-I went to the site to send an ecard. I was able to sign in but unable to send any ecards. After 45 mins of frustration I canceled my trial via email. Two weeks later I received a billing statement from BillMeLater. It had two charges on it. One dated the day after I signed up (April 6th) in the amount of $2.99 and one on April 29th again in the amount of $2.99. I did not feel that this billing was correct and contacted BillMeLater. The representitive from BillMeLater explained to me that in order to have the free trial canceled I have to CALL for security reasons even though their site states the following: We use a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which is the industry standard for secure commerce transactions. SSL encrypts all of your personal information, including your name, address, and credit-card number, so that the information cannot be read. We assure you that all of your transactions with involving credit cards and personal information are secure. I found the above info while I was searching for the cancelation number which I never found. All I found was a statement that said if you do not cancel in the alotted time there is no refund. After several days of no luck I called BillMeLater to see if they could help. They gave me the following number 888-254-1450. I called the number several times, entered the needed info and was hung up on. During this process I noticed something very strange. Whatever info I gave the system it always came back wrong.Example: Given 212-555-4567, the system came back with 723-437-9903. Not even close. After some time I received another statement from BillMeLater. It has another charge for $2.99 + $2.00 min finance charge plus $19.00 late fee. I call BillMeLater again. They took the charges of but not the original charges. I again tried to call with no results. Two month have now passed and I had to have the fees taken off my statement again. But I did learn something. The BillMeLater representitive to me a secret on how to get past the BlueMountain phone system: 1. Hit the number to cancel membership.2. say your phone #. When asked if it is correct say yes even thogh it will always be wrong.3.Repeat for all info. The system will say, info not found. Please wait for a representitive.4. Your in! By this time several months have passed and the standard answer from BlueMuntain is,You did not cancel in the given time and all membership fees are non-refundable. It dosen't take a rocket scientist to see what is going on here. To add insult to injury BillMeLater has paid BlueMountain so BlueMountain could not care less and they are now out of the loop. BillMeLater is just a bill collector hiding under the pretense of a credit card company who will ruin your credit and life by terrorizing you. As of now I have made the decision not to pay and welcome may day in court. I am also in the prosess of boycotting all companies involved with BillMeLater and am going to post them on my new website in a very short time. You will know and so will BlueMountain & BillMeLater.

I purchased two lots of coffee beans from this individual. When they did not arrive at the time stated, I emailed Rogelio and at first he was very apologetic and promised to find out what happened. At first it was excuses about shipping problems, then problems with customs, then he had a problem with ROYA disease harming his crop. When I asked for a refund he started promising to make it good. He deliberately strung it out until I was past the limit on Ebay's Buyer Protection Program. The he stopped answering my emails, knowing he had won.
