Hello i' ve recieved an envelope about sweepstakes award prize which it's a ripoff what these guys are offering me it doesn't make any sense. I have this question yet is more about an advice.THIS ENVELOPE HAS NOT PHONE NUMBER ATTACHED AND IT LOOKS SUSPICIOUS. I don't know about sweepstakes or anything like it but would it be rational to interrogate these guys about this sweepstakes ripoff thing? because these guy constitue a threat againt any person. I EXPLAIN THESE WHO ARE SENDING THIS ENVELOPE COULD BE A CRIMINAL OR MURDER These people know our addresses, our names and sometimes our phone what kind of security does United States have? Where is the CIA or the FBI? And i want to add something else this sweepstakes look like a little thing but its make bigger until nobody is secured. Where are the people in charge where are the bad guys behind this big scam? where are they? I KNOW THAT THEY ARE FROM TEXAS EVERYBODY KNOWS WHY THEY HAVEN'T BEEN STOOPED YET . My envelope says 1555 REGAL ROW PO BOX 569600 DALLAS TX 75356-9931 WHO PICKS THIS MONEY THEY HAVE TO BE TRACKED AND PUT THEM IN JAIL. And if this is a real busyness, the owners have to be interrogated and prove the authenticity of their busyness . THIS WAS MY FINAL ARGUMENT AND I HOPE THAT THE NEXT TIME I SHOULD RECEIVE A FEEDBACK SAYING THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF AND THE THESE PEOPLE PUT IN JAIL. Carlos j 46176, IndianaU.S.A.

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Ripoff! Dallas Texas
Last week I recieved a $400 voucher to use towards a product that I could purchase. I was considering getting the laptop until my husband looked at it and noticed that the laptop only had 64 MB RAM, 3.0 GB Hard Drive, no CD Writer, and no DVD player. So we decided to call the company and ask which operating system was on the laptop, but there wasn't a number anywhere in the pages that I recieved from them. We decided to try to find the number online and fortunatly were successful (1-800-762-3302). When we called the person that I talked to told me that the laptop had Windows 95!! Microsoft doesn't even support that system anymore. I then asked if I would have to pay shipping and handling (by this time I was pretty pissed) and the lady told me that the shipping and handling would be $57.00 and I WOULD have to pay that. I then asked how long it would take to get it in the mail and was told 5-7 business days. When I brought up the fact that I thought it was a ripoff she told me that it was not a scam and that if I did not want to purchase the product then I didn't have to. To be frank.. she was not very friendly about it. So I just wanted to warn some of you guys out there about the SCAM that they are trying to pull. But if you call and say that it's a scam they will not be very friendly towards you. Just thought I would let everyone know exactly what kind of shady bussiness they are running. Oh yea, In 1998 they we sued for $90,000 by the state of Iowa for not compling with consumer state protection laws! Watch your back with this company, they're out for money and don't give a crap about you! Amanda Harrison Twp, MichiganU.S.A.

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse attempted ripoff Dallas Texas
Just wanted to give a heads up to future victims, and a thank you to this website for not letting me become a victim.... I recieved a time sensitive document in the mail from Sweepstakes Clearinghouse alerting me I had won a television. The letter said, Total amount required for immediate delivery $47.96. Almost tempted to send the money and recieve my TV (thinking I had entered som sweepstake and won), I happened to notice that the clearinghouse had no phone number printed anywhere on the document and found that to be odd. Thank goodness I decided to look it up on the internet. Corey chelmsford, MassachusettsU.S.A.

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse ripoff Ignored and Ripped Off Dallas Texas
I had a computer and a stereo shelf system on layaway for several months. I sent in well over $100. for the items. I decided to not follow through with the layaway due to the fact I needed my money back and I have read several reports on this company that I didn't like. I don't feel the items are worth the money I am sending in including the credit voucher I received. I do not see it stated on any documentation I have that they have a no refund policy on layaways. I called and told them I wanted to cancel the layaway and have my money refunded to me. The girl I spoke with said they don't do that and all she could do was send me a catalog so I could use the money towards another item. I told her I didn't want to do that but that didn't get anywhere with her. Basically, I have not heard from them in several months not even a bill for the layaway which I would usually get. I feel ignored and ripped off. They haven't even sent me another catalog like she said. I feel as if they are brushing this under the carpet and hoping I will just go away. Sweepstakes Clearinghouse ripoff Dallas Texas
Ordered a computer, looked like a good deal, put it on layaway. After having paid $320.00, I am now finding out I am no where near paying it off because of all the hidden fees they are charging. Example: shipping and handling fees are outrageous and I was not make aware of these at the time of purchase plus since I have recently moved, they added an additional $30.00 for the new address! The advertised purchase price is no where near what the final paid price will be due to all the hidden fees! When I called yesterday to complain and ask for a refund, I was told that was impossible because I had not paid in full yet so a refund couldn't be made. I do not want to give these people anymore money, I feel like I'm throwing my hard earned money into a sinkhole. I would like a full refund of my $320.00. Bill Dale, TexasU.S.A.

SWEEPSTAKES CLEARINGHOUSE Fraudulent Practices Dallas Texas
I have been a customer of this company for several years. In the past service has been prompt and the customer service representatives very helpful In fact, I have bought several items from them in the past with no incidents of displeasure. Now however, it's a diffent story. I had two active accounts with them and I decided to close one and pay off the other with the money available . I had all the account info for both accounts as they will always say you need to have that so they can help you. I had given instructions to close my laptop account and apply these funds to my dvd account. This in effect should have paid for my dvd and it should be on it's way to me. It's not. After calling 8 times to inquire about the status of my account, I have received several different excuses as to why I don't have my dvd player. One, it was just a human error. Two, the transfer has not been completed (after almost 2 weeks?). Three, the transfer is complete and the dvd is on its way. Four, the dvd is not in stock. What the Hell is going on? Also, they cannot seem to provide you with the name of anyone in charge and you cannot get anything in writing or by fax, of by email. Well then why ask for that information? Why? It's always this mysterious Supervisor will call you crap. I don't have much faith that I will get a call at all. I am extremely unhappy with this company now and I will not be doing business with them again if I can ever get my merchandise or my Money back. Buyer Beware. Lawrence San Antonio, Texas

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse is a ripoff. Dallas, Texas
I'm not going to let Sweepstakes Clearinghouse do anything to me, but I have a few words to say about them anyway... I'm typing this in the heat of the moment, but if it helps an innocent person from getting burned, then it will be worth it. I'm tired of this type of scam. Did I ever contact these people? I don't think so. Then how do they get my name and address? They figure I'll think I entered some kind of sweepstakes a while ago, and now I'm winning something for it. What am I winning? Not much, because I have to pay something out. They probably bought a bunch of stuff for real cheap at bulk prices and are making a nice profit even minus the voucher they've sent me. And they make it sound like somebody else is winning a millions of dollars in their Ten Million Dollar Sweepstakes Giveaway. Not me...I have to pay something out if I want to participate. What kind of BS is that? I'd probably get a good deal if I bought the luggage or the watches, but they'll make hand-over-fist on the computers, no doubt, which most marks will probably go for. My point is, I'm unfortunately going to have to pollute the environment in a small way (again) and trash their junk mail. It's just another con. They butter it up real nice and sweet, but it's just another case of smoke and mirrors. Thank heaven for the internet, where one can just type in a name and get the dirt on them inside a minute. I purchased, last June 11, 2001 (layaway) a computer from Sweepstakes Clearinghouse. One week ago today the computer died. I called Sweepstakes today and the representative told me my warranty expire June 11, 2002 (two months ago). I inquired why wasn't I given the option to extend the warranty or have been told that the warranty was about to expire, his reply was the manufacturer does not extend warranties. I asked several questions about the model and make of the computer and was rudely told to take it to my local computer person. This is not a good way of doing business. I now have a computer that is one year old and dead. Where do you purchase this stuff? Are they seconds? Denise Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse - Schstore ripoff, rude, dishonest! Dallas Texas
I wish I would have seen this website before getting ripped off. I ordered and laid away a computer in May, 2006. Hardships have made it impossible to pay for the item and I requested a refund. I never saw the small print on the back it tells you to pay the full price and then request a refund. As I could not do this I called and was told I could exchange the items. 5 weeks later, I received the catalog (and 4 emails on the website)and placed the exchange order. To date I have not received anything. I called 7 business days ago and was told it would be shipped COD for a balance of $16.49. Today I called again. I was told I owed $21.49 now. I screamed. I called back and was told no it was only $16.49 but it was too small to send ups so it would be 10-14 days from today and would come COD US Mail. Why did I have to call again for them to RESHIP the item they never shipped to start with. I am very very upset and I am filing a better business report in texas! I will check your site before buying anything online or in the mail again. Thanks for your service! Judith Allentown, PennsylvaniaU.S.A.

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Very Old Laptop Dallas Texas
I ordered a (what they said was refurbished) Laptop from this company. What I got was a 15 to 20 year old scratched up old outdated laptop. When I called them they told me I could return it, but they would not refund my shipping and handling. It cost $61.86 for them to ship it to me so I am sure it will cost about the same for me to ship it back. So I will be out about $120.00. This is a rip off company!!! Since November I purchased a laptop computer and was sent 3 different laptops, the first the battery did not charge, the second came and it was a little bitty w/o cd/dvd rom as specified. The third came and this is after I had to pay to return the second one and the keyboard does not work at all !! They are selling junk and it is not right. I now have been waiting for a return label as I refuse to once again have to pay the return shipping cost and I want a full refund. I was told on the phone, I would not recieve a full refund it would be minus the shipping cost....NOT HAPPENING; I want my money back that I originally paid in full prior to any laptop being sent to me. This company needs to be shut down as they are obviously screwing the consumers. They are selling refurbished junk.....

SWEEPSTAKES CLEARINGHOUSE ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing Dallas Texas
I received vouchers from Sweepstakes Clearinghouse in the amount of $210.00 each along with item descriptions and order form. I ordered two items and the order form and vouchers state that the price of the items is minus the $210.00 and the additional money would pay for the items in full. For instance, the digital camcorder camera was priced at $149.95 after the $210.00 deduction and the Steelcraft Home Safe was priced at $59.95 after the $210.00 deduction. I ordered these items and made a check payable for the full amount. There was no additional shipping or handling or tax charge. However, when the items arrived, they had COD charges attached. I paid an additional $23.74 to Allied Marketing for the camcorder camera. When the home safe arrived, the COD charge was for $50.00 which I refused. I would like to return the camcorder camera and request a refund. However, the company does not have any return or refund information and no telephone number or email address. And in order to send the items back, I have to pay shipping charges. I would like for the company to give me a full refund of $209.90 plus $23.74 for the COD charge I paid to Allied Marketing. This company gives false advertisements because the prices shown are not the actual prices paid for the items ordered. Marilyn Stockton, CaliforniaU.S.A.
