Renuvaderm Deceptive Internet Advertising Scam Henderson Nevada

I took the bait for a "free trial" offer of the Renuvaderm product whereby the marketing on their webiste sounds like they send a free sample for the cost of S&H. I was rather skeptical so I went thru the purchase process carefully and didn't see anything noted otherwise. When the product arrived it was larger than sample size but still did not state that I had unwittingly entered into a monthly auto-ship agreement of this snake oil at an unadvertized and much heftier price than the S&H charges, nor was it stated in any of their emails.

Not until a few days later when I checked my bank account and saw the two fat charges of $89.47 and $94.57 did I realize the real cost of the product. I immediately called the customer service who was not surprisingly unhelpful and insisted I couldn't return the produce for refund and that I would be charged monthly for a new shipment. The true nature of the charges and auto-ship program are hidden in the fine print in a tiny link at the very bottom of their website that I only recently was able to find -- any LEGITIMATE company would not practice business this way. I immediately canceled the subscription over the phone and vowed to the rep that I would do my part to get the word out about this marketing scam.

I reported the situation to my bank who are now conducting an investigation and to hopefully refund the money I was scammed out of.
