RNE*revuvaderm/ other names unknown Answered Email ad for Renuvaderm products on internet. Ad stated that two products would be shipped for shipping/handling costs only.Provided debit card information and myc hecking account was debited 2 or 3 days later for $4.95 and $5.95 respectively. Am unsure when packages arrived. On 26 November my account was again debited for $89.47 and $94.57 with no explanation. Almost$200 for products which were advertised as trial samples for shipping and handling only. This is no more than deceptive advertsing and subsequently fraudulently charging unexpected and exhorbitant prices! Nationwide

A pop up ad appeared below a news article I was reading on the internet. I have never responded to any such solicitation; however, the ad was offering Renuva Brand facial creams/serums, and like products for the costs of shipping and handling. Since I have very dry skin, I provided my debit card number etc for the indicated shipping and handling fees of $5.95 and $4.95 which seemed appropriate. And I was seriously looking for something that could successfully moisturize my skin. My checking account was debited on 12 November 2014. Two boxes arrived, however I am unsure of the exact date and the elapsed time span of responding to the ad and the actual receipt date. To my surprise, my account was debited yet again, this time for $89.47 and $94.54 for a total of $184.04! An amount that I can ill afford (I'm 73 yrs old and have restricted income.)These charges were never authorized!!! I called the number on the transaction description which appeared on my bank statement and was advised that my "trial period" was over and thus I was responsible for the costs of the product. I was outraged by this egregious action on the part of the "vendor" RNE*RenuvaDerm. These terms and conditions were never disclosed!

I replied to the phone number indicated in the debit transaction which appeared to be a call center rather than the Company itself. I asked how do you determine when a trial period ends without knowing when my product was received? I indicated that I had been away, and the clerk incredulously advised that I should have advised them that I was away!!!Glad I didn't as they probably would have attempted to break into my home when I was away.

Had the costs been consistent with the pricing for the same/similar brand on the internet, the issue would have become moot point. Based on the amateurish labels, I am not even sure that this is the real product as advertised, but rather a counterfeit and a poor one at that.

The Attorney General for the state where this company is operating will be notified; but in the interim I would be very cautious in replying to similar offers.

When YOU entered in YOUR payment information YOU clicked on an "I agree" button or tab. YOU did this WITHOUT READING!!!!!! Had you read the terms and conditions of said sale, YOU would have found that you have 14 days from the date of ordering to cancel. Had you read a bit further YOU would have seen that you were signing up for a TRIAL MEMBERSHIP!!!!! If you do not cancel within the 14 day time frame then THEY are going to assume that YOU wish to continue receiving their product. Unfortunatly this is on YOU the consumer as THEY don't have telepathy!!!! YOU have to inform THEM, not the other way around. THEY are counting on the FACT that the American consumer is too lazy or too stupid to even read a paragraph. Lets face it, YOU are suffering from what is more commonly known as "Clickitis". Click, click, click, done and on to the next web page without a further thought of WHAT you just agreed to. When YOU give out your payment information ALWAYS check to see if what YOU are paying for has a reoccurring payment. I would also suggest to YOU that in the future YOU make your online purchases with a PREPAID DEBIT CARD. And really, PLEASE try and read more. Had YOU seen this information before hand YOU wouldn't have made the purchase. THEY are counting on YOUR lack of due diligence. THEY expect that you will NOT read, even if its to protect yourself. THEY will expect YOU to be TOO LAZY to even fight for your money. Cancel your current card so there are no more charges and get a new one. Then get a prepaid visa/mastercard debit card so you CAN make purchases online without fear of loss.
