If this is not theft, i don't know what else to call it. IF you have money to flash down the drains go to this guy......

Took the check, cashed it immediately and never to be seen again.

And the fact that he would take somebody's money and walk away with it comfortably like that makes me wonder how many people he's done this to.

Ricardo Lucero posted an ad craigs list posing as a licensed plumber. My business contacted him to give us a quote on some plumbing work that we needed to do.

He came in 3 times of which a part of me never felt comfortable with him.On the second visit the guy got very mad when i didn't commit to the work and didn't give him a check and acted in a very crude /brattyway.I should have seen these red flags. He started throwing tantrums like a small baby who had been denied food.( seriously!!!, that's the best description that can fit his behavior) At that point i felt like i was done with him and was happy he was gone. He contacted me a few days later and apologized for his actions and somehow i accepted his apology and invited him back.

He showed up on 07/08 /16 and at this point i felt sympathetic that he'd made a few trips into our office and decided to just hire him. The work was valued at $5000.00 and he insisted on a $2500.00 deposit which sort of was a red flag on how much he was rigid on that deposit amount and wouldn't settle for anything less.This was the reason i was skeptical about him.Another skeptical point was when he insisted on the check being made out to his name..... 

To make the long story short, out of sympathy and respect for his 3 visits i decided to hire him and wrote him a $2500.00 check and he was supposed to start work on the following day 07/09.The moment he took the check was the last time i ever saw him and he has refused to return the money since i still had had his cell phone# ,come to find out Ricardo is not even licensed to do anything in the state of Colorado. Despite all the attempts by text to bring my money back.Ricardo has comfortably been sitting on my money for almost 2 months with no remorse.

Oh ... i forgot this, one other thing that was a red flag, the guy was very dirty physically, clothing, hands, shoes, body, with some odour.... one would think he was living off the streets but i kind of overlooked because i told myself that plumbing job wasn't a clean profession and maybe that was the reason he cared less about his physical appearance.

I feel like i am going to file for theft with the police but i've been lenient with him all this long because i feel for his kids.On his craigs list ad he had a picture of himself with some little children and that's what made me a little comfortable on hiring someone through craigs list.

Ricardo you might have scammed other people and got away.I promise you that you will not get away with this.I will fight you with my last breath.....
