Richard Steinbruck MD terrible doctor Staten Island, New York

I took my father to Dr. Steinbruck for a followup appointment after his surgery and was appalled at the treatment or non-treatment that he received from this doctor. My father was experiencing pain at what he described as a level 8 on a scale of 1-10. Dr. Steinbruck acted as if my father had lost his mind. A doctor of all people should understand that patients have different levels of pain tolerance and in any event, he should treat a patient with respect and not be so uncaring and unprofessional. My father is elderly and could not tolerate the pain he was experiencing. When people do not feel well, they want a caring and understanding physician. If he could not help my father, he should have referred us to another physician. We had a problem with his partner at this location as well -- Dr. Sabido. The two of them need to refresh themselves on their medical oath and remember how a doctor is supposed to treat patients.
