Right Move Moving and Transportation Corp. The Old Bait and Switch Tactic is Alive and Being Worked at Right Move Edmonton Alberta

 We had contacted Right Move to do a move for us that was to occure on July 20th, 2013. Our bulk furniture consisted of 2 recliners, 1 bedroom set, 1 dining table and chairs, and an assortment of bags and boxes. The move was from a main floor condo to a duplex and was a total of 30 miles door to door.

We spoke with Alex, the manager who gave us a quote of $1000.00 or less as he said " It is an easy move and shouldn't take long at all" " Our movers are fast and don't stop for breaks"

Well, we thought this was a good deal so we hired Right Move to move us. When the truck arrived on time on the 20th, Alex was in charge and had 2 other employees helping out. we were totally packed and ready to go.

About an hour into the move, the boys stopped for a 1/2 hour smoke break. There were 2 more breaks before the truck was loaded and ready to head out. We left at the same time. when we arrived at our new home there was no truck. We waited about an hour and a half befor the truck finally showed up. Alex told us they stopped for lunch on the way. They started unloading, and you guessed it, more breaks.

Right Move charged me for 8 rolls of packing tape @ $2.00 per roll. I had 8 double rolls of packing tape left over of my own which they also used. What they needed tape for is still a mystery to us. They also charged me $17.00 for a TV box which was basically a sheet of cardboard folded in half.....they kept this cardboard after they took my TV out of it.

The grand total that was charged for this move by Right Move was $1731.00

When I objected to this amount I was told by Alex that we had a lot of stuff. I asked Alex about the $1000.00 quote he gave me and his reply was " That was just an estimate".

Right Move should change their name to RIP Move
