I locked myself out of my house, so I called Right On Time locksmiths and they came out. I was quoted $29 + $15 for the service, but when Avi came out, he quoted me $150 for the service. My friend and I could not afford that, so we politely declined. Avi proceeded to fast talk 'hey, lets play a game, call 5 locksmiths and if you can find one who will do it for $50 bucks, then I'll do it for that price.' He was rude, brash and arrogant. We declined and decided to just wait for our building manager to come home. He then started haggling the price down, first $100, then $60. When I agreed to $60, he suddenly said 'PLUS $29 service call fee.' We were like, NO DUDE! We declined again, and he demanded a $29 fee. We were both bristled by his rudeness, has abrasiveness, his fast talking. We kept declining, then he got more and more belligerent. He said 'I am not leaving this porch until I get $29'. My friend and I were like, 'uh, we aren't paying you dude. You didn't do anything but come here and try to gouge us.' My friend tried to reason with him by saying 'if I bought a pizza for XX dollars, and when you get there you tell me its now XXXXXXXXXXXX dollars, do I still have to pay for it?' Avi said that yes, you would. That that is the choice of the pizza delivery person. You placed the call, and it doesn't matter if the pizza is wrong or a different price by the time it gets to your door. You still have to pay. We were flabbergasted by his horrible temperament and rudeness. We told him that we weren't paying, that was final. So he said that he would BREAK OUR HANDS  the next time he saw us. He said that he drives around the neighborhood a lot, and when he saw us, he would break our hands and kick our asses. Then he proceeded to call me a f(*(*&ing l*****n and used the F word as he marched out of the gate to leave, shouting threats as he went.

Avi is a young man. About 25. And this is the way that he is already conducting business in his young life. Wow.

NEVER NEVER NEVER call this locksmith unless you value your life and your hands. Because you might think you're calling someone to help you safely get into your house. What you might end up with is a string of threats and a horrendous experience.

Also leaving this on the BBB site. And yes, we called the police.

I think this is a great company

AUTHOR: bailey - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 19, 2012

It's very unfortunate if this person experienced this event. I'm not sure why place it on here though? I think it's unfair. But that is my opnion. It's ok for someone to have an opinion or disagree to agree.

Right on Time Locksmiths really helped me out when I needed a locksmith immediately. I have been in a horrible relationship and everytime I tried to leave, he would threaten my family and myself. Until one day, I did. Unfortunately it didn't end very well for us both.. When the cops showed up, they took him to jail and they suggested for me to change my locks. They even called for me.

When a technician showed up maybe 20-25 minutes later, he took a look at my locks, he offered the best solution to keep my ex from coming in. He was professional, gentle, and such a kind man. I did not feel ripped off. He was honest and caring about everything that happened and what needed to happen. The price was not even bad, at all! Someone came to my house, spent time changing my locks, and did a wonderful job at that.

Considering the relationship I was in, I very much do value my life and my hands. Right on Time did a wonderful job. I felt protected after a horrible incident. I couldn't have thanked them enough.
