Safeco Insurance scam, fraud, lies, cheats Seattle Washington

My sister and I called Safeco Insurance on 2/26/09 to obtain a quote for auto insurance on her 2007 focus and my 1998 cherokee sport and also my mom as a part time driver. at first the for 6 months was a little of 1700 but the "agent" the said the reports we back and our rates dropped to 1589 for 6 months. we decided to go forth with the insurance had the 266 down payment taken out of my sisters checking account. today 2/13/09 we recieved a letter stating that we were being denied coverage due to 3 accidents my sister has had and one NOT AT FAULT accident on my end, which is listed as fault undetermined which is wrong and safeco fixed it 3 yrs ago or at least changed it so my rates didnt go up.

i spent 45 min on the phone with a safeco rep named edith who told me our new rates are over 1900 every 6 months. and that my accident was listed on the previous safeco policy as not at fault and one of my sisters accidents should be a not at fault since she was hit by a deer in 04. then told me the lady i spoke with on the 26th had all this information and the policy should have never been started and we werent given the correct quote. i informed edith that i recieved a copy of my policy about a week ago the money was taken out of the checking account and the letter we recieved today was dated 3/9/09.

she said the underwritters were holding firm and theres nothing to do but go to a different carrier. i told her my family cant afford the 400$ increase as i pay my mom and mine and that i was laid off in nov and currently working with a 4$.hr paycut.

of course like always with any complaint no supervisor was avaible they all went home for the day.

i feel that since i was given a policy with a 1589/6mon premium then thats what i should be paying for its not my fault someone on safeco's end messed up. and to make matters worse the 266$ they took out of the checking account will not be returned now we have to continue to pay this outragous premium and maybe get lucky and be able to find something cheaper.

i have been insured through safeco since 2006 and they can see where they changed the 2005 accident of mine to not at fault and didnt raise my rates 3 yrs ago but that dont matter.
