Salemakers.com,  northshore, MA liquidators of estate and personalty items cannot be trusted from the get go! Non-disclosure and deceit is their game. Their principals are Connie DeLaney of Swampscott, MA and Alana Matthews of Marblehead are all about themselves. They convince you the company is the second coming of Christ, but their perfo-rmance is anything but!!!  We were told there would be an upfront written contact (never came), they would meet with us before the sale to price all items prior to the sale dates (not so).  They told us a day before the sale dates they would basically, shoot from the hip once an offer per item was received.  There was absolutely no over sight as buyers rampaged through my poor deceased dad's home, leaving the home as if a tornado had hit it.  Buyers dumped out previously filled trash cans so they could put their own items in them and disappeared.  They did not want any of us there  during the two sale dates. Understandable, but only to the extent they did not want us to see how they operated and the kind of trash pickers who showed up.  They will tell you it is all about results. To some extent that could be true, but they never gave us a breakdown of what was sold and or how much they received per items. This was an estate sale of some highly valued antiques with high street values.  If we were not there when they were done, then they would leave all cash and personal checks in our refrigerator.    Then they tried to screw us out of some the proceeds. They get 1/3 of all items sold. What a rip.

Because of the significant amount of trash left they would tell you they worked with a trash removal business by the name of Todd Flannery, LLC out of Swampscott, MA.  Get the picture? they live in Swampscott, the trash company is in Swampscott and what they did not tell us, is that workers for the trash haulers also worked as sales people for Salemakers.com during the estate sales. Yup, non-disclosure.

Todd Flannery, the principal and another misleading SOB, intially priced the trash removal using 3 people and  only have to pay while they were on the job (not so). We had to pay their travel time and only came with two people extending the cleanup time significantly. Then they hit us with an unsubstantiated dump fee of $250.  The truck used came with other peoples junk so there was no room to take all of our dump items.

Please use great caution with these folks and trust me when I tell you that you should stay far away from Salemakers.com.
