I had moved to Dallas from a farming town in North Dakota not knowing much about the city. Looking back now I can't believe i fell for what he offered. I saw an add in the paper saying "retired pastor looking to sell vending route of 40 vending machines". I called the number and had a conversation about where and when we could meet.

I arrived with a friend and everything he told us about the route sounded too good to be true. Still being naive, I fell for it. I handed him about 2,500 in cash and later another 500 for two vending machines. I received the locations and was told to wait one week to go there. I went there about a week later and there were no vending machines to be found. It took about a month for him to get me the vending machines. In the mean time while I was waiting for the machines I would get phone calls everyday asking for the other 500 F### dollars.

These refurbished vending machines looked as if they were taken out of a dump. The bill collectors didn't work, most of the time the selection button would either steal the consumers money or give them four sodas. Also there were weld beads along the sides where he actually had his pack of thieves weld them back together as if they'd been torn apart at one time.

I finally asked for a refund and received about 1,500 dollars over a period of 3 months because frankly i think the guy just got sick of me calling him. On the day I asked for the other 1,500 he told me he had another buyer for the machines and I should go stock the machines and put about 50 one dollars bills in the bill collector and dump about 65 dollars worth of coins in the coin collection. Of course I never received my other 1,500 because i refused to do so but I have since talked to two other people that have been scammed by Mr. Beck. The last conversation I had with him he told me to "quit F### calling him because I entered into the business knowing that there was risk involved".

I come to find out what I lost was nothing compared to other people. Sadly this supposed "God-fearing pastor" has gotten away with a great deal of people's hard earned money. If you ever come into dealings with this man just stay away. He will take your money and then cuss you out like you did something wrong. Another thing to be aware of is this man claims to be a christian pastor and there is no such evidence to prove that. He uses it as a disguise to make his victims believe he is trustworthy.
