 My first interview was very pleasant. There was a gathering of information about all the usual things, questions, a photo of me was taken. I paid $2495.00, but only for a "Passive Single Agreement". Which means they won't look for someone to match me with, but if I fit the profile of one of their other clients, they would match me with that person. Right away the woman said she had someone in mind already that would be a perfect (Perfect!) fit. Since she didn't actually do the matchmaking, I doubted that I would ever meet the guy, and I didn't. I had 11 or 12 "dates" (more like meet and greets), over the 12 months that I had signed up for. They were, for the most part, nice men. One reminded me too much of my own father, so that was no good. One had really bad teeth and poor hygiene, again, no good. One seemed more interested in checking out other women in the restaurant. One never showed up and I never received an explanation for that. And then there was the one that took rudeness to new heights. We had a great conversation, good food, to me it looked like we had potential as a couple. We had several interests in common. There were no awkward silences in the conversation. When the bill came, I offered to pay my own way. He was agreeable to that. Immediately following this he begins to tell me that we won't be seeing each other again because he had told the matchmaking service that he was only interested in ladies that were blonde-haired and blue-eyed, and lived near him. Of course, I was none of those. He told me that he had told them several times about his requirements. They matched me with him anyway. I called Sarasota Singles about this and she was sympathetic and even said that she would look into giving me a refund for my meal (approximately $35.00). That never happened. I had a few more dates and then my year was up and I never heard from them again. Like I said, waste of money and time and I should not have bothered.
