My firm is a career management and job search strategy firm at the management level. We work with corporate professionals across the country. Scott Murphy contacted my firm to help find opportunites in the Florida market. Scott was looking for senior leadership positions in retail environments in Florida. We agreed to help him market himself into decision makers at targeted companies. We developed direct contact data to the decision makers as agreed. This was diclosed as a search that would not happen overnight. It will take time due to the level. Scott began to become impatient and irrate with my staff. In fact he threatened to visit my home with his buddies to pay me a visit. 

Scott Murphy is now on a campaign to slander me. We have a very defined contract. (I am not certain that Scott actually ever read the contract). He engaged my firm and we did what the contract stated. Scott discontinued his search with us after the threats.

He is a bully. Unprofessional in every possible way. If you are a company decision maker looking to hire this guy, caution. Ask for references. He is a loose canon. The police have been notifed of his threats to visit my home. Florida hiring managers, caution.

I'm not going to waste but another five minutes on this entire scenario.

I feel the need to clarify a couple of key points outlined.

1. Frank Contacted me- over and over - not sure how he found me, but he did.

2. There is no contract- Frank has contracts that absolve him from accountability and results should "his plan" not yield results- he has no signed contract from me and he knows that.

3. I did not withdraw from the search - it expired- Frank said three months, and then if there are no results, his "guarantee" kicks in - another three months.  Bottom Line - six months - ZERO RESULTS/INTRODUCTIONS/CONNECTIONS/INTERVIEWS. There was no post-partum recap, no apologies, nothing - that was Franks responsibility and ownership.

4. Deadbeat- "non-payer" - Frank received all of his fees up front, in advance- 100%. I have a perfect credit score-never missed or paid a bill late- MY ENTIRE LIFE! Being called a deadbeat is comically offensive.

5. If anyone out there cares enough to read this and call upon references, please do so- don’t call upon the ones I give you or my connections - call anyone at any of my previous employers- start at the SVP level of operations, human resources, loss prevention, real estate, or finance - see what they say about Scott Murphy's contribution/past performance, teamwork, care and development for his direct reports.

My advice to Frank moving forward- operate with integrity, say what you do, and do what you say - transform your "recruits" into true clients by conducting viable job searches that yield results that end in placements.  That would create positive recommendations that help you grow your business and not defend it. The best action you can take, is to ensure those you are working with right now- do it the right way and find them the jobs they paid you to secure.

Scott Murphy Office Max District Manager disrespects customer.

Search for Scott Murphy, OfficeMax District Manager on Rip Off Report. Office Max Store # 1493, Scott;'s company rips off a customer and he comments that it is too bad. Unethical manager.
